Tianshannet news (Reporter Qin Jinli): On January 20, 2021, the Fifth China Cultural Tourism Consumption Annual Summit (CTCAS) Pioneer Awards Ceremony was held in Shanghai. The Nalat National Tourism Resort of Xinjiang won the "2020 Best Mountainous Destination Sustainable Demonstration Zone" award.

　　The Pioneer Award is one of the most influential professional awards as far as the cultural tourism is concerned. The award is jointly initiated by tourism associations of many provinces and cities in China to mainly commend outstanding agencies and individuals.

　　The Nalat National Tourism Resort has been awarded the "Best Mountainous Destination Sustainable Demonstration Zone" for its innovative projects involving leisure and entertainment, night tours, health and recreation. As a result, the sustainability of the resort has been improved.

　　"The sustainability of the Nalat National Tourism Resort is mainly reflected in the process of transformation from a traditional sightseeing scenic spot to a modern tourism and leisure resort." according to Che Hua, head of the marketing center of the Nalat scenic spot management committee. Since 2018, the Nalat scenic spot has begun to upgrade tourism projects and tourist facilities, making transition to a leisure resort. Focusing on food, lodging, transportation, tour, shopping and recreation, the Nalat National Tourism Resort keeps improving infrastructures such as tourism nodes, road transportation, hotels, restaurants, entertainment and leisure.

　　For the past two years, the Nalat National Tourism Resort has been focusing on cultural exploration and immersive tourism experience. Various leisure and entertainment projects have been launched, including cycling, climbing, water rafting, helicopter sightseeing, folk home visits, equestrian performances and wedding photography. Beyond that, the demand of tourists for night tour and health recreation have also been met by projects like the live performance of “Watch Nalat”, “Meet Nalat” music bar area, Wusu ancient tribe camp, bonfire party and starry sky camping.
