Recently, former US Secretary of State Pompeo delivered fallacies concerning Xinjiang, ignoring the facts, attacking and deliberately discrediting the Chinese government’s policy of ruling Xinjiang, grossly interfering in China’s internal affairs, and seriously trampling on the basic norms of international law and international relations. His intention is extremely ill and sinister. His fundamental purpose is to destroy the prosperity and stability of Xinjiang and obstruct the historical process of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. I strongly condemn and firmly oppose this!

Xinjiang is an inseparable part of China, which has been inhabited by many nationalities since ancient times. Xinjiang affairs are purely China’s internal affairs, and no external forces are allowed to interfere. Any trick to mess up Xinjiang will only make the overall social situation in Xinjiang more stable. Any plot to destroy Xinjiang will only make Xinjiang move forward more firmly. Pompeo could not tolerate Xinjiang’s hard won stable and harmonious situation. He tried every means to attack and expose his “Sima Zhao’s heart” of confusing Xinjiang and restricting China. Xinjiang related issues are not human rights, ethnic and religious issues at all, but anti-violence and anti-secession issues. Xinjiang used to suffer from extremism, violence and terrorism. In the face of severe situation, Xinjiang cracked down on violence and terrorism in accordance with the law. At the same time, great attention was paid to the source control, including actively promoting the work of extremism, constantly promoting economic development, national unity and social harmony and stability. These measures were widely supported and supported by 25 million people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, and also made positive contributions to the global anti-terrorism.

The establishment of vocational skills education and training center in Xinjiang to carry out vocational skills education and training is based on the national security law, criminal law, criminal procedure law, anti-terrorism law and religious affairs regulations of the people’s Republic of China, as well as The Measures of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to Implement ‘the Anti-Terrorism Law of the People’s Republic of China’ and The Regulations of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on De- radicalization. The purpose of the establishment and implementation of laws and regulations is to eliminate the soil and conditions for the breeding and spread of terrorism and religious extremism, effectively curb the frequent occurrence of terrorist activities, maximize the rescue of those who have committed illegal or criminal acts of terrorism and extremism, and maximize the protection of people’s rights to life, health and development.

The so-called “genocide” is a slander to China. In fact, from 2010 to 2018, the population of ethnic minorities in Xinjiang increased by 2.8749 million, an increase of 22.14%, which is higher than the increase of 13.99% in the whole Xinjiang. Among them, the Uygur population increased from 10.1715 million to 12.7184 million, an increase of 2.5469 million or 25.04%. The truth has already been announced to the world, but Pompeo and others turn a deaf ear to it and indulge in their own Anti-China dream.

The Chinese government attaches great importance to protecting the human rights and fundamental freedom of the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang in accordance with the law. The right to survival and development of the 25 million people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang is guaranteed to the greatest extent. From 2014 to 2019, the average annual growth rate of per capita disposable income of Xinjiang residents is 9.1%. More than 1.69 million rural housing projects and 1.56 million urban affordable housing projects have been completed, and more than 10 million people of all ethnic groups have moved to new homes. Xinjiang has achieved full coverage of nine-year compulsory education, three-year preschool education and twelve-year basic education in southern Xinjiang. The level of basic public services in urban and rural areas has been continuously improved, the social security system has been gradually improved, and the participation rate of residents’ basic medical insurance has reached 99.7%. Since 2016, free physical examination has been implemented for all the people, and the standardization rate of township hospitals and village clinics has reached 100%.

Terrorism and extremism are the public enemies of human society. Anti-terrorism and de-radicalization are the shared responsibilities of the international community. Facts have proved that the measures taken by the Chinese government are practical and effective. Xinjiang is stable, and increasingly improved in all aspects, and its people live and work in peace and contentment. For more than four consecutive years, there have been no violent and terrorist cases, and criminal cases, public security cases, security cases, and public security incidents have decreased significantly. However, it’s a pity that Pompeo and others not only turn a blind eye to Xinjiang’s efforts to combat terrorism and protect human rights in accordance with the law and regulations, but also turn a blind eye to the current good situation of Xinjiang's economic development, social stability, national unity and religious harmony. Instead, they fabricate facts and slander China's anti-terrorism and de radicalization justice. This is a typical double standard on the issue of anti-terrorism, and its hypocrisy on the issue of human rights is exposed.

At present, Xinjiang has sustained economic development, social harmony and stability, continuous improvement of people’s well-being and religious harmony. People of all ethnic groups embrace each other like pomegranate seeds, which is the best period of stable and prosperous development in Xinjiang’s history. The attempt of Foreign Anti-China forces to block the unity and struggle of the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang can only be wishful thinking.
