Recently, former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo once again pointed fingers at China, slandering the Chinese government’s policy in Xinjiang. Pompeo’s “doomsday lie” made me indignant. I want to ask: Pompeo, who are you to say anything to us Uyghurs?!

My name is Abdurexiti Turamu, a Uyghur, and I have worked in Xinjiang Radio and Television Station for 26 years. As a senior journalist, I know that the basic definition of news is “to speak with facts”. However, among Pompeo’s remarks, I remember a truth ------ Pompeo said: “we lied, we cheated, we stole...... It reminds you of the glory of the American experiment.”

Pompeo is a politician with “Three Nos” to the core. There is no limit to his morality, no limit to his political absurdity, and no limit for messing up in the world. Even American netizens are ashamed of what he has done. Now, the “Three Nos” politician is tirelessly fabricating all kinds of lies and making an ulterior motive against the Uyghur people in Xinjiang.

Pompeo, I want to tell you that the Uyghur people in Xinjiang, China, are doing very well. They don’t need your hypocritical “care and support”.

I was born in an ordinary Uyghur family in Kashgar, Xinjiang. In 1990, I was admitted to Xinjiang University, the highest university in Xinjiang. After graduation, I engaged in line of radio and television. I grew up from an ordinary reporter to a senior reporter. Now I am in charge of Uyghur radio and television. I have two younger sisters and a younger brother, both of whom have been admitted to university. After graduation, my two younger sisters became teachers, and my younger brother became a regular staff of Xinhua Bookstore. My two children, one was admitted to Northwest University of Political Science and Law, the other was admitted to high school. They are happily immersed in the ocean of knowledge every day. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the protection of China’s Constitution, the Uyghur people in Xinjiang have been treated with respect and care beyond your dreams. Your so-called “genocide” is sheer nonsense. In fact, from 2010 to 2018, the Uyghur population in Xinjiang increased from 10.1715 million to 12.7184 million, an increase of 2.5469 million or 25.04%. Just like my brothers and sisters, the children of countless ordinary Uyghur families have received good education and gained satisfactory jobs. Today, Xinjiang enjoys social stability and sound development, and people live and work in peace and contentment. This is something that You Pompeo neither sees nor wishes to see.

Pompeo is an anti-China politician with ulterior motives. He spread a large number of untrue words on Xinjiang related issues with the intention of provoking ethnic relations, undermining the stability of Xinjiang, hindering the development of Xinjiang and misleading international public opinion.

Pompeo, I would like to tell you that our Uyghur culture has been well protected and inherited in China, and has not been “exterminated” as you would like. Take radio and television for example. When I was working, there was only one Uyghur radio program and one Uyghur TV program. Today, there are two sets of Uyghur language broadcasting programs, comprehensive broadcasting and traffic art broadcasting, broadcasting 39 hours a day. There are also three sets of TV programs, airing 54 hours a day. We have made full use of our national language to launch a large number of news, special topics, literature and art, and service radio and television programs, such as “XJTV News”, “Youth Melody”, “Happy Road”, “Xinjiang Is a Good Place”, “Youth Arouses the Chinese Dream”, and “China Grand Stage”. “Uyghur Twelve Muqam”, “Maxrap” and “Modanhan”, “Kashgar’s Spring” and other classic programs are deeply loved by the Uyghur people.

Pompeo is a brazen failure of a politician. He had to step down and leave in disgrace. Pompeo tried to use the Uyghur people as a tool to maliciously attack and slander China and tie up his chariot, but who would like to be with the losers? Pompeo is still facing failure!

Pompeo, I want to tell you that we feel warm and happy in the Chinese family!
