Recently, Mr. Pompeo, the former US Secretary of State issued a statement concerning Xinjiang. He ignored the basic facts of Xinjiang, and attacked and deliberately discredited the Chinese government’s policy of ruling Xinjiang, grossly interfering in China’s internal affairs, and seriously violating the basic norms of international law and international relations. As a Uygur proverb goes, “Despete dogs’ barking, the camel team are still moving forward.” it is no more appropriate to use this proverb to describe the former US Secretary of State who is like a mad dog and used to be proud of “lying, cheating and stealing”. When he was about to be driven out or office, he wantonly attacked and discredited Xinjiang, once again exposing the ugliness of the "the worst and the most shameless Secretary of State in the history of the United States”. The interior cowardness is proportionate to the exterior madness. Pompeo’s hysteria can only show that he is at a tight corner and heading for a dead end.

A thousand lies can not cover up one fact: under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, Xinjiang has undergone earth shaking changes. Unprecedented achievements have been made in economic and social development, people’s livelihood, and protection of human rights. There have been no violent and terrorist cases in Xinjiang for more than four consecutive years. On November 14, 2020, The People’s Government of Xinjiang Autonomous Region announced that all the remaining 10 poverty-stricken counties have been lifted out of poverty, and that the absolute poverty problem in Xinjiang has been solved historically. The north and south of Tianshan Mountains are showing a good situation of social stability, economic prosperity and people are living and working in peace and contentment. People of all ethnic groups are developing a continually increasing sense of gain, happiness and security. The brilliant achievements of Xinjiang in all fields have appealed to the whole world.

Pompeo like people do not and are unwilling to see this fact. They spread a lot of untrue remarks on Xinjiang related issues with the intention of provoking ethnic dissensions，undermining Xinjiang’s social stability, hindering Xinjiang’s development, and misleading international public opinion. We are very clear about what they are thinking and what they want to do. They show hypocritical concern, but initiate the real interference and sabotage. They are trying to push Xinjiang into their preset human right trap, draw global opinion into their so-called discourse trap, and paint the surfacce of their infamous political assets.

For a period of time, Xinjiang suffered from terrorism and religious extremism, and people’s lives were seriously threatened. Therefore, considering the reality of the fight against terrorism and the eradication of extremism, Xinjiang has set up vocational education and training centers in accordance with the law to carry out targeted education and training which involves national language, legal knowledge, and vocational skills for those who are affected by terrorism and religious extremism, so as to get rid of the idea of extremism. In October 2019, all the trainees who participated in the program “three studies and one eradication” have completed their studies. With the help of the government, they have achieved stable employment, improved the quality of their life and returned to the normal life track. It has nothing to do with the arbitrary imprisonment and deprivation of personal freedom fabricated by Pompeo and his gang.

A lie is a lie. Justice always lies in people’s minds. What Pompeo and his gang have done is ridiculous, which leads them into a historical dead lane. As Hua Chunying, the spokeswoman of China’s foreign ministry, said a few days ago, pompeo and his followers, for their own self-interest, will fight against China by all means. They deliberately destroy Sino US relations, and violate the common wish for friendly relationship from the Chinese and American people. They will surely be brought to the historical trial and be sentenced.

The shameless words from Pompeo and his gang can not shake our iron will and sonorous pace of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. We believe that the lies and pernicious remarks spread by Pompeo will be swept into the garbage heap of history. The world will be more harmonious and secure, and Xinjiang will be more stable and peaceful. Pompeo’s actions will surely be nailed to the stigma of history, stinking permanently!
