Recently, the outgoing US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo staged his last-day anti-China madness, nothing but another ludicrous lie he told about China and Xinjiang, which again shows to the world his habitual lying and his fanatic sinister smearing of China.

From 2017 to 2019, I worked as the first Party secretary of Guangming village, Shaoerbaq township of Hotan city. I witnessed the implementation of a number of policies and programs benefiting rural residents, rural areas and agriculture. In poverty alleviation, the local government spent 2.2 million yuan building a factory manufacturing shoes and clothing, creating nearly 120 jobs for local surplus laborers. In addition, a mint experimental plantation and a livestock breeding demonstration center were established in the village, bringing 150 posts and benefiting 2,385 local residents from 483 households. With the encouragement and guidance of government, 341 villagers worked away from home. A 560-square-meter nursery was also built to take care of the children below three years old free of charge. By the end of 2019, 2258 villagers from 459 impoverished households have all been lifted out of poverty. The per capita annual income in the village increased from 6,700 yuan in the end of 2016 to 9,000 yuan in the end of 2018. The villagers are living a happier and more prosperous life.

With the joint efforts of the village committee and all the villagers, great changes have taken place in the village appearance and environment. Dilapidated earthen houses disappeared and every courtyard took on a new look. Muddy country roads have been replaced by tarmac road lined with beautiful tree lawns and fences and stinky garbage heaps replaced by environment-friendly dustbins. All of these are far beyond the wildest dreams of local villagers. Local art troupe, sports team and volunteer groups were also organized to enrich the spiritual lives of local people.

Today, every household enjoys TV and radio programs, safe drinking water, basic health service and shopping service. The village committee tries their best to help villagers with their problems (100 problems on average each year). The villagers are having a happier, more fulfilled and secure life.

Facts speak louder than words. Pompeo’s bad-mouthing of China is complete lies, fallacies and nonsenses. The mud he is slinging at China and Xinjiang (his last-day madness) is boomeranging to soil his own credibility.
