In recent days, Michael Richard Pompeo has interfered in China's internal affairs rudely and disregarded facts by fabricating kinds of extremely absurd Xinjiang-related lies such as “forced birth control”, "forced labor", "cruel torture" and "re-education camp", in an attempt to "suppress the chaos in Xinjiang" and gain more political capital for himself. As a native of Xinjiang, I can't tolerate such villains as Pompeo “spilling dirty water” on my own country. I want to slap back loud, otherwise he will think that we are easy to bully.
I was born in an ordinary family in Hami. Several generations of my family witnessed the founding of new China in history and experienced the prosperity and development of Xinjiang. Everyone in my big family has a strong feeling of home and our country, especially the love for our motherland. Through hard work, I have successfully completed my doctoral studies and postdoctoral research, and also won the title of professor. Every step of my growth is inseparable from the care and support of the country. Without my motherland, we would not have a happy life today.
In 2020, I had the honor to come to Yaka Airike village, Yaka Airike Township, Shache County, Kashgar Prefecture to carry out rural work and help farmers increase their income and become rich. We always carry our own baggage, and the living expenses are shared by ourselves and the school. Here, I not only broadened my vision and increased my knowledge, but also witnessed the great changes in the families of the people in southern Xinjiang.
In order to know about what the villagers think, my university colleagues and I would go into people's homes and their farming fields every day to chat with them and help them do farm work. In the process of chatting with the local people, these simple and honest farmers would talk to me about how much the government subsidized their families, where their children got help from the government, and how much money they could earn; they would also tell me that there used to be only dirt roads in the village, but now they are walking on cement hardened roads; they used to sleep on mud Kang, but now they can sleep on the comfortable simmons beds. At present, Xinjiang, including southern Xinjiang, has been lifted out of poverty. A total of 3.0649 million people have been lifted out of poverty, 3,666 poverty-stricken villages have been withdrawn, and 32 poverty-stricken counties have been removed, including Yaka Airik village where I work. The problem of absolute poverty, which has plagued the Chinese nation for thousands of years, has been historically solved. This achievement has been achieved by countless grassroot cadres, as well as the village cadres’ sincerity and sweat. they have abandoned their homes like me, taking root at the grassroot departments and doing down-to-earth work.
Mr. Pompeo, what I have said is what I have seen with my own eyes. There is no other countries or governments caring so much about the right of survival and development of its ethnic minorities. If, as you said, China has carried out "genocide" against the ethnic minorities in Xinjiang, how can it spare no efforts to help the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang find jobs, get rich, and build roads and houses for them? Due to my doctoral study experience and university teacher status, I continued to keep the habit of studying, researching and consulting materials in the countryside. According to the data I have consulted, the average life expectancy in Xinjiang has increased from 30 to 72 years old; the Uygur population has continued to grow, with a growth rate of 25.04% from 2010 to 2018, which is higher than the 13.99% growth rate of the whole Xinjiang population, and even higher than the 2% growth rate of the Han population; from 2014 to 2019, the total number of labor employment in Xinjiang has increased from 11.3524 million to 13.3012 million, with the per capita disposable income of residents increasing by 9.1%. The sense of contentment, happiness and security of the people of all ethnic groups are constantly increasing. It is true that "gold and silver are not really rich, unity and harmony are happiness".
Finally, I want to say "a lie is still a lie even you tell it ten thousand times"! There is no basis for Pompeo's absurd remarks, which are unpopular and self-deceptive. These false lies cannot deceive the Chinese nation, let alone the entire international community!
