Recently, former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo published Xinjiang-related fallacies, interfering China’s internal affairs under the guise of human rights, wantonly smearing Xinjiang’s overall stability and its people’s peaceful and contented life, and maliciously slandering the arduous efforts made by Xinjiang people of all ethnic groups for stability and development. His hypocritical acts of false concern, genuine interference and sabotage are detestable. The Youth Federation of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region firmly opposes and strongly condemns it.

As is known to all, Pompeo is good at nothing but mongering rumors. Over the past years, he made groundless accusations against China’s policies on Xinjiang, wantonly threw mud at Xinjiang, and crazily suppressed Xinjiang’s enterprises, practicing his “lying diplomacy” to the end. This “worst and most wicked and shameless Secretary of State” in American history actually cares nothing about human rights, religions or ethnic minorities in Xinjiang. What he is thinking and what he wants to do is crystal clear to the young people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. He wants nothing but to sow discord among ethnic relations, disrupt Xinjiang’s development and create divisions in this region. Just as he did in the CIA, he aims to use the young of some countries as political tools and cannon fodder to instigate “color revolution” and achieve ulterior and sinister intentions.

We don’t need Pompeo, the “political virus”, to tell us whether we are doing well or not. People of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, including our youth, are the most qualified to have a say.

The educational rights of Xinjiang’s young people are fully protected. In recent years, Xinjiang has insisted on prioritizing education development and continuously increased investment in software and hardware. We have realized full coverage of nine-year compulsory education across the region and full coverage of three-year preschool and twelve-year basic education in southern Xinjiang, enabling every child to enjoy fair and quality education. The schools at all levels and of all kinds in the region have cultivated a large number of excellent young professionals in different sectors.

The employment rights of Xinjiang’s young people are fully protected. In accordance with the Labor Law of the People’s Republic of China and other laws and regulations, the young people follow their own will to freely choose their occupations and place of work. Their rights to payment for labor, rest and holiday, work safety and health protection, and social insurances and welfare are all lawfully protected. No matter working in Xinjiang or other Chinese provinces and cities, their rights to religious belief, ethnic culture and mother tongues and writing systems are also respected and ensured. Xinjiang government at all levels vigorously implemented employment and business startup facilitation program for youth, by creating job opportunities, offering employment services and supporting entrepreneurship. The young people, regardless of their ethnic group, gender and religious background, can realize the value of life with their hard work in different trades and profession.

The reproductive rights of Xinjiang’s young people are fully protected. Xinjiang implements the family planning policy according to law, and has never formulated or practiced any “family planning policy target at a certain ethnic minority group” cooked up by Pompeo. In recent years, the understanding about marriage and childbirth of young people of all ethnic groups is more civilized, healthy and rational. The reproductive health service in the whole society has been constantly improved. The young people independently choose safe, effective and appropriate contraceptive measures. Their reproductive rights are fully protected. How come there is so called forced sterilization? No matter what nonsense Pompeo talks or irresponsible remarks he makes, the fact that Xinjiang’s Uygur population growth rate is far higher than the regional average speaks much louder than his piles of lies.

We hereby warn Pompeo: you doomsday clown, no matter how madly you perform, it is just a weak last struggle. The so-called “democracy” and “human rights” that you preached in some countries have deceived, bewitched and incited those youth who do not known the truth to act as roughnecks and cannon fodder, and what you have brought is only unrest in those countries and sufferings to those peoples. We the young people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang have polished our eyes and seen through your evil intentions and will never be fooled by you. We will unite closely around the CPC to contribute our youth, wisdom and strength to the building of a socialist Xinjiang with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
