Kalibiden Litifu, Teacher of Xinjiang University
I am Kalibiden Litifu, a young Uygur teacher from Xinjiang University. When I heard the former Secretary of State, Pompeo’s malicious statements on the human rights, birth control and other issues of Uygur in Xinjiang and his slanders on China, declaring that our great motherland has committed crimes against humanity and genocide against Muslim Uygurs and other members of ethnic minority groups was conducted in Xinjiang, I felt very indignant at all of his lies. I strongly condemn his erroneous words and actions against the truth and urge Pompeo to stop slandering China and apologize for his wrongdoings immediately!
About the truth of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, more than 25 million Xinjiang citizens have every right to voice. As one ordinary resident among the 25 million, I would love to tell the world one indisputable fact that all ethnic groups in Xinjiang are living in unity, joy and peace. Our motherland, led by CPC, has always attached great importance to the development of Xinjiang by further increasing policy supports, guiding Xinjiang to develop local economy and the society. In recent years, we had won social stability and economic development. These remarkable achievements cannot be covered up by Pompeo’s nonsense.
All Xinjiang people live and work in peace and happiness. We share weal and woe, being tightly united together like the seeds of a pomegranate. Every one of us is high-spirited and vigorous for our better development. Languages, traditional cultures and customs of all ethnic minorities in Xinjiang have been well preserved and inherited as well. I myself was born in the 1980s, I can read books and newspapers, watch TV, and listen to songs and radios both in Uygur language and mandarin. So does my eight-year-old daughter Kailibina Kalibiden.
Lots of efforts have been made by the central and local government to provide training and employment for people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, so as to encourage, assist and support us to get rid of poverty and live a better life through our own diligence. China also pays great attention to all levels of education in Xinjiang and invested hugely in order to improve schools’ environments for children. From kindergartens to universities, children of all ethnic groups can learn in spacious and bright classrooms, wear clean and tidy school uniforms, have nutritious and sufficient food and be able to learn scientific and knowledge. I can personally feel a boost in education standards in Xinjiang. As a result, all children, especially children of ethnic minorities in south Xinjiang have shown a spiritual change, being more confident in their country and their happy life of unity and stability!
I am not exaggerating by using fast-changing to describe Xinjiang’s social development, because I am one of the witnesses. When I was a child, my family lived in a house made of bricks. We burnt coal to generate warmth and cook. All we had were a few sets of furniture and a black-and-white TV. However, with the development of Xinjiang’s society and economy, we moved to an apartment where we have heating and water supply. We no longer use the old television, but a LCD TV, nor bicycles or motorcycles, but cars. Our material life had an earthshaking change. I do not need to list any figures for anyone to prove myself when I had my own and real experience and my own eyes to prove everything!
Have you ever been to Xinjiang, Pompeo? Have you ever listened to the voices of the 25 million Xinjiang people? You are more like a shameless liar with no credits. What you have made up are not only major insults on the 1.4 billion Chinese people, including the 25 million Xinjiang residents, but also major betrayals and challenges of humanity’s morality and conscience. Your vicious political conspiracies never succeeded and will never succeed!
