Pompeo, who was proud of the fact that “we lied, we cheated, we stole” and called it “the glory of American experiment”, did not reflect on the various crimes he committed and the evil consequences he brought even on the last day of his term of office. Instead, he presented the final crazy performance of smearing and slandering, in an attempt to continue his work by stigmatizing Xinjiang as “crimes against humanity” and “genocide” to suppress and contain China’s progress and development. Such despicable behavior without bottom line makes one feel indignant and disgusted. As a participant, witness and beneficiary of Xinjiang’s stable development, I have three opinions to tell Pompeo.

Those who make up lies will be spurned. Xinjiang is now in the best period of development in its history. The Chinese government’s policy of governing Xinjiang has won the sincere support and warm welcome of people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, as well as the active support and widespread praise from people of vision in the international community. Adhering to the rule of law in Xinjiang, the supremacy of the people and equality of all ethnic groups, the local Party Committee has effectively stopped the spread of extremism and the frequent occurrence of terrorist activities by “fighting and preventing”, and achieved no violent terrorist cases in more than four years. From 2014 to 2019, the GDP of Xinjiang increased from RMB 919.59 billion to 1359.71 billion, with an average annual growth rate of 7.2%; the general public budget revenue rose from RMB128.23 billion to 157.76 billion, with an average annual growth of 5.7%; and the per capita disposable income of residents increased by an average annual rate of 9.1%. A total of 3,666 poverty-stricken villages and 32 poverty-stricken counties have been removed from poverty, lifting 3.089 million people out of poverty. Facts speak louder than words, and justice speaks for itself. Lies can never cover up truth, just as dark clouds can never cover up the sun. We see Pompeo’s lies as plain as day.

Those who have evil thoughts will perish. In recent years, Pompeo, on the one hand, has repeatedly slandered and attacked China, waved the banner for the East Turkistan terrorist forces, defending them under the banner of “democracy” and “human rights”, and openly acted as the backer and promoter of terrorist forces. On the other hand, he has engaged in “doomsday madness”, diverting attention and shifting contradictions. They plainly disrespect and trample on human rights. Now, Pompeo, the liar and hegemonic leader, don’t you realize why you were blocked from visiting Europe before leaving office and why you were named “the worst Secretary of State in US history” by the Washington Post? You’ve come to the point where people can’t even tolerate you. As an old Chinese saying goes, good deeds will be rewarded with good deeds, and evil will be rewarded with evil. It’s not that the time has not come to repay yet. Pompeo, for his own selfish political desires, is moving forward on an increasingly narrow road of no return. He will be brought to account by history and the world.

Those who go against the trend will never change the course of history. The trend of the world is vast and mighty; those who follow it will prosper, and those who go against it will perish. Without great changes in the past century, mutual benefit and common progress are the common pursuit of all countries in the world. Holding high the banner of a community with a shared future for mankind, promoting development through practice and seeking happiness for mankind, China will always stand on the right side of history. Pompeo’s lies, no matter at any time, can never change, including the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, the Chinese people’s confidence in the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China; can never change our belief in unswervingly taking the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics; and can never shake the Chinese people’s iron will and sonorous pace of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. All the slanders, smears and despicable actions will only make us realize more clearly that Pompeo’s sinister intentions will only make us unite more closely around the CPC Central Committee, unswervingly implement the Communist Party’s administration of Xinjiang in the new era, and make unremitting efforts to achieve the general goal of social stability and long-term stability.

We firmly believe that under the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China, no force can stop the process of stable development and prosperity of Xinjiang as well as the pace of unity and progress of the people of all ethnic groups here! Xinjiang will have a better tomorrow!
