Recently, Pompeo, the former US Secretary of State, tried his best to make up a lie, slandering China's so-called "forced sterilization" and "forced labor" against the Uygurs, falsely accusing the Chinese government of suppressing the freedom of speech of the Uygurs, discrediting and attacking the human rights situation in Xinjiang, and attempting to split China and restrain China from development through such absurd remarks. This behavior is strongly opposed by all the Chinese including me. I express my strong indignation and severely condemn this.
As a young Uygur cadre who was born, grew up and work in Xinjiang, I deeply love this beautiful land of Xinjiang. Coming to Urumqi from southern Xinjiang, I studied in the middle school classes, high school classes in the mainland, China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) and other first-class schools in China. I enjoyed high-quality educational resources and became a social science worker. It is under the nurturing of the Party and government's ethnic policies that we Uygur people enjoy full human rights protection and freedom. There is no "arbitrary imprisonment", "compulsory sterilization" and "forced labor" at all in Xinjiang as Pompeo claimed.
Over a period of time, thousands of violent terrorist cases have occurred in Xinjiang, causing a large number of innocent people killed, seriously endangering the security and stability of our country, the safety of people’s life and property of all ethnic groups, and seriously trampling on the basic dignity of human beings. In the face of the severe situation, the Chinese government has taken decisive measures in accordance with the law to crack down on violent and terrorist attacks. At the same time, it attached importance to the controlling of the source of terrorism, including actively pushing into deradicalization, continuously promoting economic development, national unity and social harmony and stability, thus effectively curbing the frequent occurrence of violent and terrorist attacks, and maximally protecting the basic human rights of the people of all ethnic groups, including the right to survival and development. At present, Xinjiang witnesses a harmonious and stable development in the society, economic development, continuous improvement of people's livelihood, unprecedented prosperity of culture, harmony and obedience of religion, and a great improvement of people's sense of happiness, acquisition and security. However, Pompeo not only turned a blind eye to Xinjiang's efforts to combat terrorism and protect human rights in accordance with the law and regulations, but also to the current good situation in Xinjiang. He still tried to impose pressure on media under the guise of "protecting human rights". Pompeo's various words and deeds revealed his ugly face and sinister intention of interfering in China's internal affairs, restricting China's development, and even inciting an attempt to split China and bring chaos.
Nobody, but we the local people, have the right to comment on Xinjiang's development and change. In recent years, under the strong leadership of the Party and the state, Xinjiang has achieved a high degree of unity in anti-terrorism, deradicalization, protection of human rights and poverty alleviation, adding great contributions to the international community in fight against terrorism and deradicalization, which has won wide praise from the international community. Xinjiang has established and improved a multi-level medical security system, covering urban and rural medical security network. Xinjiang has basically popularized nine-year compulsory education, and basically eliminated illiteracy among young and middle-aged people. By offering junior and senior middle school classes for Xinjiang ethnic minorities, in Xinjiang or other provinces, students in remote areas have the access to the modern classrooms and receive higher level basic education. These measures to improve people's livelihood benefit the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. We have witnessed and experienced them in this beloved land. Therefore, we have a deeper understanding of the care of the Party Central Committee and the warmth of the motherland.
Xinjiang belongs to China, and the Uygur is a member of the family of Chinese nation. Any attempt to alienate China's ethnic relations and curb China's development is doomed to failure and will eventually become a figure of fun in history. The will of the Chinese people of all ethnic groups to safeguard national unity is as firm as a rock, and the pace of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is unstoppable.
