A few days ago, the former US Secretary of State Pompeo made a fallacy concerning Xinjiang, falsely claiming that Xinjiang has committed “genocide” crime and “anti-humanity” crime against Uygur Muslims and other ethnic minorities. Pompeo deliberately slandered the human rights situation in Xinjiang, wantonly discrediting China’s efforts to eradicate extremism and combat terrorism, maliciously attacking the Chinese government’s policy of governing Xinjiang. He wantonly provoked China’s ethnic dissensions, wiping out various achievements in Xinjiang’s development, and ignored the true feelings of the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. His remarks are complete nonsense! Here, I express my strong opposition and strongly condemnation to Pomepeo.

I am a teacher in the school of pharmacy of Xinjiang Medical University. I am a native of Xinjiang. I was born in a rural area of Xinjiang in the 1980s. As a peer of reform and opening up, I witnessed the great changes in the reform and development of the motherland and the great changes in my hometown. When I was a child, my family lived in adobe houses and went out by taking bumpy dirt roads. Students with good financial conditions can go to school by bike. Now, we live in modern buildings and go out on broad and flat asphalt roads. We can also take the subway to work. Now we are enjoying a better-off life and we have good days with substantial supplies.

I developed myself step by step from the rural areas of Xinjiang and was admitted to Peking University and received education in the best universities in the country. Apart from my own efforts, I can’t do without the state’s support for the education in the areas of ethnic minorities. In the distribution of educational resources, the state has adopted many channels to enable the remote area and ethnic minority area to have the priorities, so that we children of ethnic minorities in rural area can have the opportunity to study and work in big cities and realize our dream. During my study in Peking University, all the people around did not discriminate against me or exclude me from them just because I was from Xinjiang and a student of ethnic minority. Instead, they gave me as much care and respect as possible. We were getting along well with each other, chatting and dreaming of our future together. I think this is the most simple and the truest ethnic unity that can not be destroyed by 10000 Pompeolike people.

After graduation, I went back to my hometown and became a university teacher. In the past ten years of my teaching, I have been under the cultivation of our school and my professional proficiency and comprehensive quality have been increasingly growing. The party and government have attached great importance to the development of culture and science and technology in ethnic minority areas, and set up special training projects for ethnic minorities and regional scientific research project funds, which have also given me many training opportunities. My professional ability has been continuously improved, and I have been rewarded by Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and our university, and won the honorary titles of “Excellent Party member of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region”, “Excellent Young Teacher” and “Excellent Head Teacher”. This is the affirmation and encouragement of the party and the government for my work. I will continue to do my job well and have good performance in what I do. I think this is the most forceful counterattack to Pompeo I can take. There are countless ordinary Ethnic civil workers like me in Xinjiang. We are the small drops of Xinjiang’s cause development, and together we gather into the surging rivers of the motherland. No one can succeed in setting up the obstacles with ulterior motives for the development of Xinjiang, let alone producing the storm of destroying ethnic relations.

I have a happy family with two healthy and lovely children. From birth, children can enjoy health care services, free vaccinations, and enjoy compulsory education at school age. The party and the government have created such a good development environment and living conditions for us. How can they commit “genocide” crime and “anti-humanity” crime in the eyes of Pompeo? Pompeo, is the happy life of Xinjiang people making you jealous, or are you blind and deaf and paranoid? A lie is a lie and justice lies in the hearts of the people. Pompeo, your nonsense and ridiculous actions can’ t set apart the hearts of people of all ethnic groups close to each other and can’t weaken the joint power of Xinjiang people. You can’t shake the iron will of Xinnjiang people and you can never stop the sonorous pace of the Chinese people to realize the great rejuvenation of the nation.

This is what I have experienced and what I think and feel. Facts speak louder than words. Great changes have taken place in Xinjiang in recent years. It is obvious to all of the world and no clown-like Pompeos can erase it. His fallacy will be broken by itself!
