Recently, Pompeo made a series of evil remarks on human rights and family planning issues of the Uygurs in Xinjiang on the website of US State Department and his personal Twitter. He was despised and ridiculed by lots of his foreign allies as "the worst secretary of state in American history." As a Uygur proverb goes, a scorpion will take one more bite due to its uneasiness before death. Before departing office, he still put up his deathbed struggle. Out of his own selfish interests, he devised various conspiracies. He insulted others’ intelligence, but the adepts could figure out immediately his sinister intentions. As former US Secretary of State, he should do his share of the work to safeguard world peace and promote world economic development, but he took the opposite tack with his ugly actions.

I was born and raised in Xinjiang. I have witnessed the vigorous development of my hometown and experienced the tremendous changes in our lives. In my childhood memory, we lived in cottages. We had to fetch water for daily use from a 500-meter-away place. Mother bought large, medium and small buckets for us in accordance with the size of three sisters. To fetch water was the first thing to do after school. In cold winter, spilt water would freeze on the clothes, which was really miserable. The transportation facilities were poor, and sometimes we had to wait for a bus for a long time. I remember that, once I cried loudly with cold at the bus stop. Because I am the eldest sister, as a rule new clothes were bought for me and passed to my younger sisters when they were smaller for me with my growth. In my college years, to call my mother, I had to line up at the Beibei District Post Office in Chongqing every week. She would receive the call at her working unit, since she could not afford a fixed telephone at home. The call duration must be controlled within 5 minutes. Otherwise, someone else who was waiting outside would knock at the glass door of the telephone booth. From Urumqi to Chongqing, I had to take a three-day-and-night train to Chengdu firstly, followed by a 12-hour slow train to Chongqing. When I arrived at school, I was usually exhausted... When I told my children the stories, they would look at me shockingly and asked, “Mom, are you talking about the old society?” since we are now living a happy life, my kids will find it hard to imagine how hard our previous life was. Nowadays, we have adequate food and clothing, and we have access to convenient transportation, free education, medical insurance, employment support from the government, etc. This is the true portrayal of our current life.

I am now a college teacher. My growth and progress are attributable to the cultivation of the Party. Thanks to the Party’s preferential policies, I could receive a good education at a national key university. I began to realize the big gap between me and my classmates, when I attended classes with them. I know clearly that, without good policies of the Party, I would turn to another person. Many ethnic minority students are studying in higher education institutions, and they will grow up into talents to construct the beautiful Xinjiang in the future. Our education is improving significantly. Those who are sharp-eyed and clever enough to distinguish right from wrong will never be fooled by Pompeo's fallacies. He is all wrong to slander and smear Xinjiang.

Who doesn’t love his mother? Who doesn’t love his motherland? When I heard that Pompeo contemptibly smeared and slandered my motherland with fabricated facts, in an attempt to deceive the kind-hearted Uygur people, I was full with hatred, and I wanted to tear him to pieces. He could not abide a stronger China and the people of Xinjiang living a peaceful and happy life. He is a demon, and he is a monster. Pompeo, stop causing trouble and do not disturb our happy life!
