On Jan 19, Pompeo released Xinjiang-related statement, vilifying that Xinjiang made arbitrary detention of over one million Uygurs and other ethnic minorities; his other allegations included forced sterilization, torture, forced labor, restriction of freedom of religions, speech and migration. Pompeo’s remarks are unacceptable. As an intellectual, I firmly reject and strongly condemn Pompeo’s slanderous remarks.

Pompeo ignored the objective reality of Xinjiang’s prosperity and development, fabricating fake news, blatantly interfering in China’s internal affairs, and seriously violating international law and basic norms governing international relations, hurting Xinjiang people’s feelings. In recent years, with living standards improving, overall education and cultural level of Xinjiang people have gone up significantly. The whole Xinjiang enjoys social stability, prosperity, and its people live in peace and contentment with increased senses of fulfillment, security and happiness. People of all ethnic groups are leading a happy life. Pompeo distorted facts, fabricated groundless accusations. His main intention was to sow discord in ethnic relations, undermine stability and disrupt development of Xinjiang.

I am a cadre who was born and raised in Xinjiang. Under the fostering of the CPC and the government, I have become First Level National Artist, member of National Youth Federation, member of Chinese Dancers Association, standing committee member of Xinjiang Dancers Association; I was also awarded the following titles: Xinjiang “Four Categories” specialist, representative of national cultural and art workers among the young and the middle-aged; March 8 Red Banner Pacesetter, medal of “Develop and Build Xinjiang”, thus becoming from a little rural girl of Kashgar to a famous dancer not only in Xinjiang, but in the whole China as well. Being a key dancer, I took part in international cultural exchange events in more than 30 countries like France, Italy, Tunisia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, North Korea, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, France, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Luxemburg, Sweden, Norway, Turkey, Thailand, Pakistan etc., letting the audience in different countries get immersed in beautiful dance and colorful art. In my performing career, I always try to perfect my technique, making extraordinary accomplishments. Every time when I stand on the domestic and international stages, I am so grateful that because of the strong motherland, the multi-ethnic Chinese nation, I have achieved my present accomplishments.

Being a Xinjiang resident and a dancer, I deeply realized that only social stability can ensure fast socioeconomic development, allowing people of all ethnic groups to share the fruits of reform and development. Pompeo! In the face of reality, your lies can’t reach afar; your malicious attack can’t disrupt development and ethnic unity in China.
