The former US Secretary of State Pompeo released a Xinjiang-related statement, vilifying and launching malicious attack on China’s Xinjiang policy. Being a native Xinjiang resident, I strongly oppose to it. On his final days in office, he attacked and smeared Xinjiang like a crazy dog, exposing his sinister face of the worst and most shameless Secretary of State. His behaviors betrayed international justice and basic values, humanity’s morality and conscience. His remarks were blatant interference in China’s internal affairs, and serious violation of international law and basic norms governing international relations, hurting Xinjiang people’s feelings.

From childhood, I played and studied together with other kids of different ethnic groups. Quite a number of them still keep in touch with me so far. We live with our neighbors of different ethnic groups in unity and harmony; we help and visit each other on holidays like Spring Festival, Eid al-Adha, Mid-Autumn Festival; we eat and celebrate together. Under the care of the CPC and the government, I successfully finished my education. Being a leading CPC cadre at college, I was guided and instructed by the CPC, and I wouldn’t have today’s accomplishments without the care and guidance from the CPC. After the reform and opening-up, esp. after the 18^th Congress of the CPC, Xinjiang went through unprecedented changes under the strong leadership of the CPC. So-called “China committing genocide and crimes against humanity in Xinjiang” is a completely false allegation and a malicious farce fabricated and hyped up by certain anti-China, anti-Communist forces, with Pompeo being a fanatical pioneer. Such a thing only exists in the ugly political conspiracies of Pompeo and his like. It has never happened, is not happening, and will never happen in China. In the face of reality in Xinjiang, Pompeo’s lies will collapse. His poisonous remarks will be discarded in the dustbin of history along with him. His madness will be a shame of history.

From January, 2018 to January, 2021 I worked at a village in Achiq Township, Yopurga County. I witnessed and attended the poverty alleviation and other changes in the village. All of 257 poverty-stricken households and 1134 poor population shook off poverty in 2020. The village’s whole population, 428 households and 1757 residents, enjoy various forms of favorable policies; among them, poverty-stricken households enjoy dozens of poverty relief projects; all villagers live in safe houses with beautiful and clean kitchen and toilet; infrastructure in the village has been improved remarkably; new offices, service center, kindergarten and other facilities have been set up; poverty-stricken population can enjoy subsistence allowances and other relative assistance; there are asphalt roads with lights, small park, pond etc. in the village; compulsory education is free to all; villagers’ moral mindset has changed, many of them are willing to go out and work, dress smart; some of them own private cars, and also sofa, table, double bed, refrigerator, washing machine; they have grape trellises, garden in their courtyards where they plant fruits, engage in animal husbandry including cow, sheep, chicken and pigeon. With the help of preferential policies from the CPC, the villagers work in farming, animal and poultry husbandry, forestry and fruit farming; some of them work outside their residence, some started up their own business; some rent vegetable greenhouses, some bake naan; all of them are working hard for a better life. Thanks to the unprecedented achievements in economic development and livelihood improvement in the village, people’s senses of gain, happiness and security have increased significantly.

Actions speak louder than words, lies cannot fool wisdom. Pompeo’s ugly behavior and ill intention will never succeed.
