On his final day in office, the former US Secretary of State Pompeo released a Xinjiang-related false statement, spreading lies and rumors, maliciously attacking and smearing China’s Xinjiang policy. Being a Xinjiang resident, I strongly oppose and condemn his doomsday madness.

I am a native Xinjiang resident. Under the kind care of the CPC and the government, I finished my education successfully from elementary till higher. I am a party cadre who has been guided and nurtured by the CPC for many years; my every accomplishment would be impossible to be achieved without the CPC. When I was little, my mother had a hard time making ends meet just with dad’s small amount of pension. Without the preferential policies of the CPC and government, we couldn’t have finished college; without the CPC, there wouldn’t be our present achievements. Three children in our family work in different positions to play their role in contributing to long term peace in Xinjiang.

Since the reform and opening up, esp. after the 18^th Congress of the CPC, I witnessed the unprecedented changes happened in Xinjiang under the wise leadership of the CPC. Without the CPC, there wouldn’t be today’s prosperity in Xinjiang, where people of all ethnic groups live in peace and contentment.

I am a medic. I remember that there was serious deficiency of medicine in Xinjiang before. Some people had to give up treatment due to lack of money. Now, universal health care system has fully covered the whole Xinjiang; 99% of urban and rural residents have joined some forms of health security plan; they don’t need to worry about medical costs any more. From 2016, Xinjiang has launched “medical benefits to the masses” campaign for five consecutive years, improving people’s sub-health state, ensuring early finding, diagnosis and treatment so that people can save more money by spending less money; healthy life concept has lodged itself in the public mind; many innocent lives have avoided torture of disease. Our college has also achieved full coverage of social security system and free annual medical checkup. Our students and staff may get treatment at residency or outside residency.

In order to strengthen counter epidemic work, epidemic prevention and control office has been set up under the instruction of the College party committee. In order to curb COVID-19, during summer and winter breaks, there are designated personnel who pick up or send students to the designated destination and conduct medical checkups. Preventive Chinese medicine and daily necessities are provided to students for free; three meals a day are guaranteed to all students and staff; regular nucleic tests and disinfection work have been conducted.

Pompeo’s so-called “determination” of “genocide” and “crimes against humanity” by Xinjiang is nothing more than a groundless allegation, lie and malicious farce.
