On the last day of his term of office, the former US Secretary of State Pompeo brought his doomsday madness to the extreme and declared that the Chinese government had “committed crimes against humanity against Uygur and other ethnic minorities and religious groups” and “carried out genocide” in Xinjiang. This kind of naked lie is full of fallacies and can’t stand any scrutiny. It is the “doomsday madness” performed by Pompeo and his like to attack China. Pompeo is destined to be swept into the garbage heap of history.

Actions speak louder than words. As an official and party member of ethnic minority who was born and raised in Xinjiang, and grew up step by step under the party’s cultivation. I have lived in Xinjiang for more than 50 years. I know more than many people do about the prosperity and stability of Xinjiang and the unity and harmony of the people of all ethnic groups, and I greatly cherish the present good situation.

I am a Uygur university teacher. At the benefit of the policies of the party and the state, I have the opportunity to go to the inland universities for further study. I have got master’s degree and doctoral degree in Northeast Agricultural University and Agricultural University of China respectively. I have modern breeding technologies such as efficient breeding of mutton sheep, efficient breeding of cows and embryo transfer of cattle and sheep. In 2014, I volunteered to go to Yusitunkekumuairike village, Baishiairike Town, Awat County to start two-year village work. At first, we lived in the old house in the village, and the level and efficiency of local animal husbandry production were low. In the communication and exchanges with the masses of grassroots, we learned that the villagers had strong desire for modern life, and zealous wish to improve the level of agricultural productivity. In view of the basic production mode of raising sheep in the village, we started from popularizing scientific sheep raising technology, integrating the basic conditions of raising sheep in the village, and gave advice and suggestions to the county Party Committee and the Prefecture administration, introducing good sheep breeds and promoting the construction of sheep raising demonstration village. After two years of construction, we have realized the high-efficiency breeding mode within two years. The conception rate of ewes is more than 80%, the production efficiency of sheep has been directly improved by 50% - 100%, and the average annual income of farmers and herdsmen is increased by more than 500 yuan per sheep. While solving the problem of cattle and sheep breeding and production, I also help the villagers change their mentality gradually. We tried every means to provide training for villagers, create employment chances, encourage, help and support them to get better-off through hard work, so that they could get rid of poverty with their own hands, and live a better and beautiful life.

People’s livelihood and education have always been the major issues to which the Party committee of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region attaches great importance. In the past five years, I have been to more than 300 villages in southern and northern Xinjiang, entered more than 1000 households to carry out technical assistance, and helped 13 villages in poverty alleviation work. Now, what I see is that the old houses in rural areas no longer exist. Instead, there are white walled and red tiled houses with standard and spacious enclosures for livestock, with asphalt roads leading to all households. In rural areas, we continue to increase investment in educational software and hardware. Especially in southern Xinjiang, three-year preschool education and 12-year basic education have fully covered all the people, and every teenager enjoys fair and good education. Children read in spacious and bright classrooms, and there are free lunches for them in schools. Farmers and herdsmen have realized the “Naan fragrance” of laborers, that is, they can enjoy the reimbursement of medical expenses, subsidies for farming, insurance for cattle and sheep, and pension security. All over Xinjiang, with the help of the civil workers, the poor households have been lifted out of poverty mastered some vocational skills. They have more and more money in their pockets and live a increasingly happy life. What I have seen and heard is that the people live and work in peace and contentment, unite and develop themselves, and that their living standards have been greatly improved.

Pompeo’s so-called “genocide” and “crimes against humanity” committed by Xinjiang against Uygur Muslims and other ethnic minorities is sheer nonsense! Pompeo attacked the Chinese government’s policy of governing Xinjiang on groundless basis and grossly interfered in China's internal affairs. His purpose was to distort and discredit Xinjiang’s anti-terrorism and de-radicalization work, stir up Xinjiang’s ethnic dissensions, and hinder the pace of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Pompeo once again showed his ugly nature and sinister intention in front of the world.

With the rapid development of Xinjiang, people’s life is happy, and people of all ethnic groups hold together like pomegranate seeds. This is a real fact that is happening in Xinjiang. But Pompeo turned blind eyes to the facts. I live in Xinjiang. I am one of the beneficiaries of China’s ethnic policy, and I have the final say. If someone tries to destroy our good life now, I firmly oppose it!
