As we all know, “lying, cheating, stealing” has become the label of Pompeo. Recently, when the former US Secretary of State was about to leave his office, he still deliberately discredited China on Xinjiang related issues, putting two false accusations on Xinjiang's ethnic minority policy: genocide and crimes against humanity. As a native of Uygur in Xinjiang, I was extremely indignant when I learned Pompeo’s fallacy about Xinjiang. I firmly oppose and strongly condemn it.

Only the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang know most about the happy life of the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. As an official and intellectual of Uygur who was born, grew up and has been working in Xinjiang, I deeply love this beautiful land of Xinjiang. Looking back at my growth experience, every step of my life is inseparable from the concern and cultivation of the Chinese Communist Party. I was born in a civil worker’s family in southern Xinjiang. My parents were both ethnic minority party members and officials who grew up under the care, warmth and cultivation of the party and the state. My parents have given me teachings since my childhood: without the party’s good policies, we would not have what we have today, and we would not have a happy life. The seeds of loving the party, patriotism and socialism have been deeply grown in the soil of my heart since my childhood. Looking back on my own experience over the past 20 years, every step of my growth is realized under the education and training of the party. I grew up from a rural teenager to a doctor, a professor and an official. Without the care and training of Party and the help and guidance of colleagues from all ethnic groups, I would not have been what I am today. Over the past 40 years of reform and opening up, the party and the government have been benefiting the people of all ethnic groups with the fruits of development, demonstrating the wisdom and greatness of China’s ethnic policy. Our three generations are the biggest beneficiaries and witnesses.

From 2016 to 2019, I participated in the village work in Baishiairike Town, Awat County, Aksu Prefecture. I had personally experienced the great changes in the rural areas in southern Xinjiang for more than three years. The village I lived in used to be a deeply impoverished village in Xinjiang. Relying on the policies formulated by the party and the state to benefit the people, many unexpected changes have taken place in the village over the years: Asphalt roads have been built connecting the villages and households. Solar street lamps have been installed outside the house. Housing is provided for villagers, farmland is subsidized, and medical insurance is provided... With the implementation of a number of livelihood projects and policies to benefit the people, the village has become more and more prosperous. Great changes have taken place in the infrastructure, cultural customs and environment of the village. This series of changes also show the people of all ethnic groups’ anticipation for a better future.

Looking back at the beginning of my village work, in Daireyaboyi village, there used to be 81 registered poor households and 365 poor people. The village’s infrastructure construction was relatively backward without specific cultural activity center, cultural square and fitness equipment. There was no planning for the village road and other agricultural infrastructure construction. All the forces stationed in the village worked together to fight a precise scheme against poverty, solve problems and do practical things for the masses in limited time. Now the village looks beautiful. It has realized safe and stable use of electricity in the whole village. Tap water purification disinfector and non-tower pressure pump has been installed for villagers who have not yet used safe drinking water, and 24-hour water supply has been realized. In view of the poor basic conditions of agricultural production, the working team of Xinjiang Agricultural University has taken advantage of its own advantages, implemented farmland irrigation projects and road network transformation, and solved the problems of farmers’ watering and transportation. At the same time, we vigorously implemented the greening project to realize the centralized and standardized treatment of garbage. We painted the wall white on both sides of the street and paintings, slogans and calligraphy works are painted on the wall. We did the Renovation and maintenance of the cultural square and the villagers service center, and finished the installation of sports fitness equipment. The rural library has been built and the distance education village group website has been opened. Now with a strong and sturdy grassroots organizations in Daireyaboyi village, Baishiairike Town, the village is developing fast with good social security and stability, poverty alleviation and prosperity are steadily promoted, and the people of all ethnic groups have deep feelings with each other. Daireyaboyi village successfully removed itself from the list of deep poverty village in 2017, and all the poor people were lifted out of poverty by the end of 2018. when you walk into the village, the spacious and clean hardened roads, orderly houses and various public welfare facilities show you a peaceful and healthy new rural scene.

Pompeo falsely claimed that the Chinese government has committed crimes against humanity and genocide against Xinjiang Uygur and other ethnic minorities. It is a naked lie and can not stand any scrutiny. Pompeo’s bad deeds will surely be despised by the people of peace loving countries all over the world, and are bound to be poured into the sewage pool of history.
