Before departing office, Pompeo frantically slandered, vilified and discredited China’s Xinjiang policies. He tried every means to smear Xinjiang. Since the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Xinjiang Artists Association has organized a series of major exhibitions, including "The South and North of Tianshan Mountains—Exhibition of Fine Arts Works of China", "The 7th Western China ‘Love for the Land’—Chinese Painting and Oil Painting Exhibition", " National Touring Exhibition of the Oil Paintings of Xinjiang—the Affection for Motherland", "The Magnificent Tianshan Mountains- National Touring Exhibition of Chinese Paintings of Xinjiang" and "New Silk Road- Xinjiang Is a Wonderland". These exhibitions have exerted massive influence and aroused great attention in the country. The association has carries out its yearly training program designed for the general public. The accumulative trainees number over 5000, thus the contingent of art workers has continuously strengthened. The older generation of artists has been rejuvenated, and a galaxy of young and middle-aged art talents have emerged. Among Xinjiang art workers who participate in national art exhibitions, those from various ethnic groups including Uygurs also actively contribute their works and win many honors. A large number of outstanding art workers from Xinjiang have vividly portrayed Xinjiang people who have the spirit of solidarity and endeavor, eulogized the glorious history of the Party and the country, and praised the great achievements of Xinjiang since the introduction of reform and opening up policy. This is a true portrayal of the realities of Xinjiang.

In recent years, Xinjiang has attached great importance to the cultural undertakings of ethnic minorities. Supported by China National Arts Fund, it has organized seminars on traditional Chinese paintings for young ethnic minorities in Xinjiang, cultivating a galaxy of outstanding young ethnic minority painters, and producing a spate of outstanding works with distinct ethnic features and spirit of the times, such as "Market", "Song of the Plateau", “Go to Bazaar”, "Karquga", "Larks of Tianshan Mountains", "Surging Rhythm—Floating", and "The River of Hometown". They wholeheartedly protect the harmony and stability of Xinjiang in their way.

Pompeo, Xinjiang art workers warn you that, no matter how mad your performance is, it is only a weak and feeble final struggle.
