Abliz Sadiq,Xinjiang Radio Television Station

I am Abliz Sadiq, a Uyghur journalist of Xinjiang Radio Television Station. Recently, Pompeo released a Xinjiang-related statement, maliciously attacking and smearing Xinjiang, fabricating ludicrous political lies. His intention and motive are very ugly and damaging. As a native Xinjiang resident of Uyghur ethnicity, being a participant, witness and beneficiary of the unprecedented changes in Xinjiang, I strongly condemn and firmly oppose to Pompeo’s remarks.

I was born in a village in Ulughchat County, Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture, in northwest China. Thanks to the series of favorable policies by the CPC, our life has experienced great changes. Now, I live in an apartment with tap water, gas and electronic heater. The heating radiator is put on the wall of every apartment. With just one click, we can feel warm whole night. We don’t have to buy and put coal to the stove any more, thus having saved money and keeping home clean. My parents always say to me that without the CPC, our happy life wouldn’t be achieved, so we must work hard to serve the motherland.

Under the nurturing of the CPC, I successfully finished my studies in elementary, middle schools and university. I came from a remote village to bustling Urumqi, and started a nice career – to be a journalist. I have colleagues from Han, Uyghur, Kazakh and Mongolian ethnic groups and we help each other and improve together at work. Great importance is paid to preparing talents from ethnic minorities, so I was sent to Communication University of China for further study. During one year of study, I didn’t pay anything; instead, the CPC and government paid more than 80,000 yuan for my study. Through such study program, my professional skills have improved, horizon broadened and life has become better with more accomplishments. In Xinjiang, ten million Uyghurs and other ethnic minorities are growing and progressing just like me under the care of the party and the state.

In 2019, I was dispatched to work in Fanghuiju team in Azghanbagh village, Muji Town, Guma County of Hotan Prefecture. There I witnessed the unprecedented changes happened in southern Xinjiang villages. There is a guy named Abdunur Mamat in that village who found a job outside village in January, 2019. Not long ago, I had a video chat with him. He said proudly that now he works as a workshop group leader and earns 4500 RMB each month. There is another Uyghur villager named Abdulla Ahmatniyaz who set up his own company in April, 2020 with help of poverty-relief support from the party and the government. His company rings up sales of over 100 thousand RMB each month. Now he not only shook off poverty, but also started to lead an affluent life with private car, house and bank deposits. In the southern Xinjiang, there are so many such Uyghur villagers who make a difference through diligence and hard work.

Pompeo! Those are the real story I saw and experienced. I want to tell you that facts are facts, and they should not be distorted. With the CPC as the leader, people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang will live a better life. Your fabrications and lies of undermining unity and prosperity of Xinjiang are doomed to fail.
