The other day, Pompeo released his lie of the century, smearing that Xinjiang committed genocide and crimes against humanity against Uyghur Muslims and other ethnic minorities, which deeply hurt feelings of people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. I strongly condemn and firmly oppose to it.

All ethnic groups in Xinjiang enjoy the right of equal participation in the administration of state affairs. The customs of ethnic minorities are respected. The languages, traditional cultures and customs of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang are well protected, inherited and carried on in accordance with law. Special importance is paid to the protection and inheritance of languages and cultures of ethnic groups in Xinjiang. Chinese government has allocated special funds, human resources to support, save and protect the cultural heritage of ethnic minorities. These are the undoubted facts that all Xinjiang people are beneficiaries and Pompeo’s comments are simply uncalled for.

Since the founding of new China, under the guidance of the party's literary and art principles and policies, the Song and Dance Troupe of Xinjiang Art Theater has taken carrying forward the advanced culture of the Chinese nation as its own responsibility, inherited the excellent culture and art of all ethnic groups, upholding mainstream themes, interpreting the spirit of the times, and actively creating fine stage art to meet the needs of the development of the times. We have created and performed more than 30 excellent stage art works, such as the large-scale play "Happy Song of Tianshan", "Our Xinjiang is A Gorgous Place", "Xinjiang, Full of Sunshine", "Great, Beautiful Xinjiang", "Meshrep Forever", "Warm Tianshan", "Dance Steps in the Sun" and "Xinjiang is A Gorgous Place", presenting the precious ethnic cultural heritage from the masses onto the stage, into the public, across the country and into the whole world. Is this a genocide? Is this a crime against humanity? We don’t need Pompeo - the political virus, to lecture us on Xinjiang. Actions speak louder than words. No matter how much Pompeo makes irresponsible remarks, it is an indisputable fact that Xinjiang protects, inherits and promotes the excellent traditional cultures of all ethnic groups in accordance with the law, which speaks louder than Pompeo’s numerous lies.

I am a Uyghur literature and art worker. Born in Bachu County, Kashgar, I grew up with the Han, Uyghur and Hui children around me. In the environment of unity, progress and common prosperity of all ethnic groups, I sang, danced, played games with the children of all ethnic groups around me. I watched my parents and their generation helping each other, just like brothers and sisters in life and at work, having planted the seeds of ethnic unity in my young heart. My father was a carpenter. Under the guidance of a Shanghai master, he became a famous carpenter. My mother was a nurse in the hospital. With the help of her Han colleagues, she became a high-level nurse. With the support of the education policies of the party and the state, I not only completed the study of compulsory education and was admitted to university, but also grew into a party cadre under the party's years of training and care. My experience of growing up is a good example. I am honored that I am Chinese and I am honored that I am a member of the Chinese nation. Today's development and prosperity of the Uyghurs are the prosperity and development of the big family of the Chinese nation. Like pomegranate seeds, they are tightly held together, and marching hand in hand, full of spirit, on the new journey of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Pompeo’s so-called “determination” is nothing more than a piece of waste paper. Pompeo, along with his numerous lies, will be discarded into the dustbin of the history by people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang.
