URUMQI, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- A small town in northwest China's Xinjiang sees booming rural tourism during the seven-day Spring Festival holiday.

Shuixigou Town is located in Urumqi County, about 40 kilometers away from the urban area of Xinjiang's capital Urumqi.

The town has developed a "Leisure Town" with an area of 32,707 square meters, which offers catering, sightseeing, homestay and folk experience.

"This place is very close to Urumqi. I bring my child here to feel the countryside atmosphere. There are a lot of visitors here. A lot of fun," said Urumqi resident Gao Feng.

Another highlight of Shuixigou Town is fruit-picking in greenhouses in its Dongwan Village.

"We receive more visitors during this year's Spring Festival holiday, which helps increase our income. I hope I will have a better harvest this year than last year, earn more money and live a better life," said strawberry grower Wei Zhenxiong.
