Before departing office, Pompeo, no other than a clown, declared that China’s policies on Muslims and ethnic minorities in Xinjiang committed “crimes against humanity” and “genocide”. Xinjiang Photographers Association and Xinjiang photographers are shocked by such lies and fallacies, and unanimously express strong dissatisfaction, high indignation, and firm opposition! Pompeo's remarks have seriously violated international law and basic norms governing international relations and his remarks are daylight bullying.

Facts speak louder than words, and justice naturally inhabits man's heart. Under the strong leadership of the CPC, Xinjiang has made unprecedented achievements in social development and people’s livelihood improvement. Xinjiang enjoys sustained economic development and continuous improvement of infrastructure. The reform and opening-up continue to advance, and the construction of the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt is deepening. The lives of people have improved significantly, and a decisive victory has been achieved in the fight against poverty. At present, Xinjiang is showing a good situation of social stability and peace and contentment for its people, which lays a solid foundation for long-lasting peace and stability.

Xinjiang Photographers Association has organized photographers of all ethnic groups to record the realities of Xinjiang with their lenses. During the tour of Hotan, Kashgar and Aksu in southern Xinjiang and the tour of Altay and Yili in northern Xinjiang, the photographers’ cameras zoom in on the general public, truly recording the tremendous changes in Xinjiang over the years and reflecting the new look of the overall victory in poverty alleviation. Up to now，21 consecutive photographic art exhibitions have been successfully held. The photos they have taken reflect the prosperity of the great motherland, the beautiful scenery of Xinjiang, and the solidarity of the people of all ethnic groups. These are the true records of Xinjiang's realities. Xinjiang Photographers Association has also organized photographers of all ethnic groups to participate in various national photography exhibitions and competitions, and achieved fruitful results. In 2020, Xinjiang Photographers Association participated in the 1st Splendid China (Golden Tripod Award) National Landscape Photography Competition, which is co-sponsored by the photographers associations from 17 provinces and autonomous regions and the Entrepreneur Photographers Association (Shenzhen). Xinjiang Photographers Association won the first prize of group award. As for individual awards, the contestants from Xinjiang Photographers Association won 3 gold medals, 6 silver medals, 8 bronze medals, and 20 awards of excellence. Many friends in the photography field home and abroad have visited Xinjiang with sincerity and kindness. They have witnessed and recorded with their lenses the status quo of people’s life and production and the splendor of the scenery of Xinjiang, which is in sharp contrast with Pompeo’s lies.

Any attempt to undermine Xinjiang’s prosperity and stability and to curb China's development is bound to fail. The lies and viruses Pompeo has spread, together with Pompeo himself, is doomed to be discarded in the dustbin of history. Any attempt to intervene in Xinjiang’s affairs, to interfere in China's internal affairs, and to stop China's steps forward is doomed to fail!
