Recently, the former US Secretary of State made up a series of lies on Xinjiang. Once again he employed his usual dirty trick in smearing Xinjiang, vilifying Xinjiang’s development and viciously discrediting Xinjiang, in order to attract “audience”. His malicious words and actions severely damages international law and fundamental rules of international relations, brutally intervening China’s internal affairs and gravely hurting all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. For these, Xinjiang Television Artist Association express its strong condemnation and resolute opposition.

In recent years, the Association insists that people are the center of artistic creation and organizes various cultural activities and service performances in various forms with the theme “from the people and to the people”. Various groups of artistic workers go to such places as Kashgar, Shache, Markit and so on to perform and to carry out the project “training one thousand professional artistic workers in the villages and towns”. Such cultural activities as “Our Chinese Dream -- Culture in Every One’s Home”, “Pleasure Goes to Villages and Towns” profoundly enrich the spiritual and cultural life of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. Meanwhile, we recommend some excellent local TV programs to participate mass TV competitions. The program “Wonderland Kanas, Snowland Altay” and other 7 TV programs took part in the 13^th China Tourism Television Week and The Second Grand Canal Culture International TV Week and won top prizes. The program “The Second Home Town” was recommended to take in the 8^th Asian Micro-Movie Art Festival and won an outstanding prize. The program “The Grapes of Turpan Are Ripe” and another program were recommended to take part in the 14^th Well-fare Television Program Competition and won an outstanding prize. The cultural tourism program “Xinjiang Is a Wonderful Place” won the outstanding prize for the second season innovation project organized by National Broadcasting and Television Bureau. The television program with the same title in the previous example won the third season innovation project. The documentary “Yili River” won the Outstanding Long Documentary, Outstanding Documentary Script in 2019 National Documentary and Artistic Professional Supporting Project. Some other documentaries as “Those Times of Horse”, “Old Village, Old Well”, “Tarim River” and “The Fort” were also very popular and warmly welcomed.

Pompeo tried to hinder Xinjiang’s stability and development, which is like an ant trying to topple the giant tree. His vicious words and actions will definitely be swept into garbage bin in history. Xinjiang’s prosperity and stability is the best refutation to his slander and smear. All ethnic groups in Xinjiang protect in unity the wonderful and beautiful land. Such shameless, heartless and principle-less clown as Pompeo has no position in pointing fingers at us! His conspiracy will never get its way!
