Guzannur, Xinjiang Radio and Television Station

Mike Pompeo recently made a series of absurd remarks against Xinjiang, which made me extremely enraged. As an ordinary citizen of China, I would like to say to Pompeo that if you said all these out of jealousy, you’d better shut up. Because there is no so called "restriction", "suppression" or "genocide" in Xinjiang at all, there was no such things in the past and there will be no such things in the future. What you said is nonsense and we are fully aware of your essence of “lying,deceiving and stealing”.

My name is Guzannur and I am 30 years old. I am a Uygur and now I work in Xinjiang Radio and Television Station. My hometown is Urumqi, which is honored the title of “Model City in Nationalities Union and Progress”. And I study, work and start a family in this city. My family is a big family of ethnic unity, consisting of Uygur, Han, Uzbek and Hui members. Two years ago, my brother married a girl of Han from Gansu Province. They fell in love when they were in university. After they got married, they gave birth to a lovely boy who brings great joy to the family.

After graduating from Communication University of China, I began to work in Xinjiang Radio and Television Station. And my colleagues and I are as close as a family. Since I started my career, I have received many chances to go to Beijing, Xi'an and other places for study and exchanges, which has helped me develop myself. In 2017 and 2018, I was selected to go to Xi'an, Shanxi province to host the "Spring Festival Gala of Traditional Chinese Opera" of the five provinces and regions in Northwest China with my mainland counterparts, and I met a large number of outstanding colleagues. Now we still maintain the precious friendship and we are just like brothers and sisters. In 2019, my husband founded an international trading company in Qingdao, which mainly deals in food and alcohol. The company's products sell well both in China and abroad. Besides, we have a child who will go to primary school in September this year. We are now living a happy life and we feel satisfied.

As an ordinary citizen of China, I would like to say to Pompeo that if you did all these out of hostility, then you should stop. Your words and deeds can not bewitch or change anyone!
