Tear up Pompeo's Painted Skin of Hypocrisy

Xinjiang Literature and Art Critics Association

The end of the Painted Skin in Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio goes like this, “How stupid common people are! With their eyes open, they even mistake a demon for a beauty.” For the literature and art critics of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, Pompeo is the demon wearing the painted skin of hypocrisy. He groundlessly delivered Xinjiang-related fallacies, viciously attacking China’s Xinjiang policy, grossly interfering in China’s internal affairs, deliberately sabotaging ethnic relations, flagrantly undermining Xinjiang’s good situation of harmony and stability, and seriously violating international law and basic norms governing international relations. The circles of Xinjiang literature and art critics strongly condemn and firmly oppose to his fallacies! His conspiracies will be doomed to fail, and the people of all ethnic groups living in Xinjiang will definitely say no!

Historically, Xinjiang was a gateway for China’s civilization to open to the west. It has always been the emotional attachment and spiritual home for all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, as well as a dynamic source of development for the ethnic cultures in Xinjiang. The ethnic cultures in Xinjiang always have their roots in the fertile soil of Chinese civilization. In recent years, benefiting from the Party’s policy of regional autonomy for ethnic minorities, and with the unremitting efforts of the cultural and artistic workers in Xinjiang, cultural and artistic undertakings are prosperous, and a wide variety of outstanding works have continued to emerge. These works are deeply loved by all ethnic groups for the distinct ethnic and regional features and the spirit of the times, and for the integration of intellectual depth, artistic exquisiteness and skillful production. Xinjiang literature and art critics have actively made criticism in various art categories. Incomplete statistics in recent years show that, Xinjiang Literature and Art Critics Association has published over 300 articles and more than 20 books on the following newspapers, journals, websites and other medias: People's Daily, Guangming Daily, China Arts News, China Culture Daily, Literature and Arts, Xinjiang Daily, Journal of Xinjiang University, Popular Literature and Arts, Xinjiang Arts, Social Sciences in Xinjiang, Contemporary Writers Review, Arts Review, China Literature and Arts Network, China Writers Network, China Youth Network, China Literature and Arts Review Center Network, Guangming Network -- Literature and Arts Review, Literature Newspaper -- New Criticism, and so on. These works fully demonstrate the scenes that, under the strong leadership of the Party, the people of all ethnic groups coexist harmoniously and unite their efforts in marching forward, and that they have made unprecedented achievements in economy, education, culture, science and technology, social development, livelihood improvement, life and health, and so on.

At present, Xinjiang is in its best period of prosperity and development, with the local residents living a happy life in a stable environment. Pompeo, however, ignoring the facts, told a series of lies. Under his neat suits is a dirty heart, and behind his skin of hypocrisy is a sinister soul. How could such an egregious liar be so confident and courageous to point fingers at China and Xinjiang? His Xinjiang-related fallacies are doomed to be despised by history!
