Amanguli Sidik, Song and Dance Troupe of Xinjiang Art Theatre

　　Recently, Mike Pompeo, once again, made up false and ridiculous remarks on Xinjiang, claiming that “Chinese government is forcing sterilization on Uygur and other minority groups in Xinjiang, using cruel torture, forced labor, restricting freedom of religion, speech and action etc.”. The lies and rumors, made up by Pompeo, could not be tolerated. As a senior performer in the Song and Dance Troupe of Xinjiang Art Theatre and as a Uygur intellectual, I resolutely oppose Pompeo’s false and ridiculous remarks.

　　Ignoring the fact that Xinjiang is developing with prosperity, Pompeo made up groundless information, intentionally spreading false remarks on Xinjiang, which is a brutal violation of international law and fundamental rules of international relation. They severely hurt all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. In the past years, with the continuous improvement of living conditions, the education and culture of Xinjiang people improved greatly and either in social and economic development or in improvement of living standard we have achieved enormous accomplishments. Both in southern and northern of Tianshan Mountains, society is stable, economy is prosperous, and people are living in peace and contentment. The sense of achievement, happiness and security improve all the time and our life is happier and happier for each day. Pompeo intentionally confounded right and wrong and his wanton smearing of Xinjiang is absolutely groundless. His evil purpose was to try to instigate tension among ethnic groups in Xinjiang, to sabotage Xinjiang’s stability and to tamper Xinjiang’s development.

　　I am a CPC Uygur officer who was born, grew up and have been working in Xinjiang. With the care and attention from the Party and government, I am now a senior performer with professional title, a member in National Youth Association, a member in Chinese Dancer Association, a standing committee member of Xinjiang Dancer Association, Top Professional Staff in XUAR, representative for National Middle Age and Young Excellent Artistic Workers, XUAR Excellent Women Worker, and I also won such honors as Medal for Excellent Performance in Building Up Xinjiang. I am so proud that with the care and attention from the Party and government I grow from a little girl in a small town in southern Xinjiang to be one of the best performers in our country. As the main performer, I went with my colleagues to perform in over 30 countries and regions such as France, Italy, Tunisia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, North Korea, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Sweden, Norway, Turkey, Thailand, Pakistan and so on. The colorful and fruitful cultural exchange and communication render audience from these places enjoy and appreciate the beauty, splendor and wonder of Xinjiang dance.

　　Whether Xinjiang’s situation is good or otherwise, Xinjiang people are the best qualified to speak on it. Xinjiang’s stability and peace are the best proof to refute Pompeo. With these facts, Pompeo, shut your mouth! Your lies will never get their way! Your vicious attack can not stop China’s development and ethnic unity in China at all! Your malicious slander can not stop Xinjiang people on their way to progress and unity at all! Your shameless lies and rumors can not smear the great development of human rights in Xinjiang at all!
