Meihereayi Mutailifu, Kashgar University

　　Days ago, I learned through the news that the former US Secretary of State Pompeo released the fallacies related to Xinjiang and his “century lies”. At this I couldn’t restrain my indignation, especially when I saw the malicious attacks and slanders on the vocational education and training center. I don’t know what qualification such a despicable politician who is thousands of miles away from us have to slander my motherland and hometown. Today, I will use my own experience to tell Pompeo what is true and what is beautiful about Xinjiang.

　　My name is Meihereayi Mutailifu, a Uygur native of Kashgar, Xinjiang. Since my childhood, both my family and I myself have been enjoying the party’s good policies in our life and study. In particular, the experience of my study in the vocational education and training center gave me such a deep feeling that it is my great honor to work and live on this wonderful land, and that it is very lucky for me to be a Chinese citizen.

　　The documentary Lies and Truth -- Vocational Education and Training in Xinjiang released by CCTV on August 2020 is the true reflection of my mind. The vocational education and training center is a training school established in accordance with the law in Xinjiang. It mainly teaches national language, legal knowledge, vocational skills and eradication of extremism ideas. The school has a good and beautiful campus where I once received free education, with free meals and accommodation, and with the help of leaders at all levels and teachers, I successfully graduated. Through my study, I got to understand what is right and what is wrong and promoted my sense of law and professional competence. The study in the vocational education and training center is the most valuable and useful education in my life and it helped me develop a more positive spirit and mentality.

　　After finishing my study in the vocational education and training center, I came back to my teaching job in Kashgar University. The Party committee of Kashgar University and the College of life and Geography Sciences where I work are very concerned about me. I quickly relieved myself of my ideological burden and put myself into the work I love with ease and comfort. I am very lucky to be back on the right track again. It is the party and the government that saved me and my family.

　　For a long time, I have been dreaming of pursuing a doctorate. The leaders of the University and the college were very supportive and granted me a rare opportunity. leaders of my university personally helped me to contact the concerning university and doctoral tutor. They particularly managed to arrange a certain period of time for me to prepare for the entrance exam, completely relieving me from my worries in work and setting me at ease in the preparation for the exam. In January this year, I was admitted to Sun Yat Sen University as a doctoral candidate, majoring in microbiology. After learning the news, the leaders of my university and colleagues around me were even more happy and excited than me. It gives me so much warmth to study, work and live in this big family. I’m determined to study hard and return to school after finishing my doctorate study and I will strive to be an excellent university teacher.

　　Looking back on my gains and progress in thought, work and study since I came back to work from the vocational education and training center, I know that my growth is inseparable from the love and support of the party, the leaders of my university, and my colleagues. In the future, I will study and work hard to repay the party and the state with practical actions. I will work harder to make new and greater contributions to the development of Xinjiang, Kashgar and my university.

　　Facts speak louder than words, and rumors end with wise men. My personal experience makes me understand how valuable our life is today! I want to say that Xinjiang is China’s Xinjiang. The Western anti-China forces are not allowed to discredit and smear Xinjiang wantonly. I firmly believe that the future of Xinjiang will be increasingly wonderful, and the life of Chinese people will be more and more happy!
