Recently, Mike Pompeo wantonly attacked and smeared Chinese government’s policies on governing Xinjiang, which thoroughly revealed his shameless character in lying and making up rumors. I want to disclose and refute his shameless and evil lies with my own experience.

I was born in Tumushuke, a city in southern Xinjiang under the governing of the Third Division of XPCC (Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps). With various beneficiary policies on education, I successfully finished primary school and secondary school. In 1993, I was admitted to Central Minzu University with excellent scores, which was a piece of great news in the place my family was living at that time. Everyone was so excited that I could go to Beijing to study, which is a rare thing at that time in the place where we were living. During these years of college life, we ethnic minority students were given meticulous care from the university. Every month we had subsidies on food and every semester we were entitled with scholarship and aiding grant. After graduation, I began to work at Xinjiang People’s Broadcasting Station and became a member of the journalist field, making my dream come true. One of my classmates in college, a Uygur student from a village in Hotan works in the National People’s Congress Standing Committee after graduation. Some of my Uygur classmates in college work in Xinjiang CPC committee, Xinjiang government, Xinjiang Literature and Art Association, Xinjiang University, Xinjiang News Agency etc. Now these classmates of mine are the backbone of these places. They and me finished our college study successfully with the care from the Party. Now we are living a happy life and our destiny is changed because of that. It is the same for our families.

Over the years, every step and every stage of my work and my life are closely linked to the care and attention from the Party and government. So, when working well with my own job, I also did my best to help my hometown to develop, following the calls from the government. In October, 2016, I volunteered to work as a teacher in Hasake Village, Kalatale Town, Akesu in southern Xinjiang. In these two years of teaching, I witnessed the happy scenes when all the children of enough age went to kindergarten for free, witnessed that the muddy earth road became the bright and straight asphalt road, witnessed that the crude earth-made house became bright and spacious brick house, witnessed that the poverty-stricken family enjoy the minimum-income insurance policy, and witnessed that every year all villagers enjoy once a year the free medical physical examination. Whenever I was conversing with them, I was deeply moved by the thorough sense of achievement, happiness and security, revealed in their words and eyes.

Pompeo, you have no right at all to point your filthy finger at Xinjiang’s development. Whether Xinjiang is in good situation or otherwise, all Xinjiang people are the best qualified to speak on it. Today’s Xinjiang, the society is stable and the environment is wonderful. Both in northern and southern Xinjiang, people are living in peace and contentment and everything is prosperous. With these brilliant pictures of prosperity and development of Xinjiang, Pompeo, the more vicious your performance is, the more malicious your purpose is exposed. You will eat your own words to the end one day! Pompeo, your shameless lies and rumors will be surely swept into the garbage bin of history!
