Pompeo, You Are Pretending to Be Asleep. Shame on You!

Kaisaier Abudukrem, Deputy Secretary of the Party committee and President of Xinjiang Medical University

There is a saying: you can never wake up a person who pretends to be sleeping!

Pompeo, the former US Secretary of State, is a shameless liar who always pretends to be asleep. In the four years of his term of office, he and those liars with ulterior motives told big lies about Xinjiang related issues, reveling in his “lie diplomacy” on the international stage. Pompeo selectively became blind to the prosperity and development of Xinjiang and the happy life of the Uygur people. His words were detestable and his deeds were punishable. Pompeo will surely be notorious permanently.

As a Uygur intellectual, I think Pompeo is a doomsday clown and a century joker dressed up in doomsday madness and century lies. His so-called decision that China has committed “genocide” and “crimes against humanity” against Uygur Muslims and other ethnic minorities in Xinjiang is a piece of waste paper. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, there will never be such genocide and racial discrimination in China as is happening in the United States. Such crimes have never existed, are not existing, and will never exist in Xinjiang.

I want to tell Pompeo that we Uygur people live and work in peace and contentment in a prosperous age. You rogue politicians with ulterior motives who are in their daydream to destroy our life are just a joke to be despised by even children.

As a Uygur, I want to ask Pompeo, can’t you see the prosperity and development of Xinjiang? Are you really blind?

I want to tell Pompeo that I am a good example of the growth and success of Uygur youth under the care and cultivation of the Communist Party of China. I come from Kashgar, 1500 kilometers away from Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang. I was born in an ordinary Uygur family. Like thousands of Uygur children, from primary school to university, I grew up from a young Uygur who couldn’t speak a word of national language to a doctor of medicine. I was elected as a deputy to the National People’s Congress and went to Switzerland to attend the UN General Assembly as a representative of Chinese young scholars. My seven brothers and sisters are now civil workers of the state, and they live a stable and happy life. My father, who is more than 90 years old, receives the state pension on time every month and has medical insurance reimbursement when he is sick. During the Spring Festival, our family of more than 30 people get together, enjoying warmth and happiness of our family. My big family and my growth and success are just the epitome of thousands of Uygur families in Xinjiang.

As an Uygur, I want to ask Pompeo, under the threat of COVID-19, how is the situation of the ethnic minorities such as Latin American in USA? Do you know?

COVID-19 has made us see clearly the hypocrisy of the democracy and human rights which politicians like Pompeo flaunted, and Pompeo and his likes have an ugly and disgusting nature. I want to tell you that in Xinjiang, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the supremacy of people and the supremacy of life has been fully demonstrated. In 2020, in face of three attacks of COVID-19, Xinjiang provided free treatment and free nucleic acid testing for all the people. Now free vaccination is provided. What qualifications does Pompeo have to wantonly comment on Xinjiang’s policy for ethnic minorities?

As a native of Xinjiang and a Uygur doctor of medicine, I have witnessed the state’s concern for the life and health of ethnic minorities in Xinjiang. Five years ago, Xinjiang implemented the national free physical examination. So far medical insurance for serious illness has achieved a full coverage. There are more than 80 counties in Xinjiang. Each county has a hospital, each township has a health center, and each administrative village has a clinic. The 25 million people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang have realized their dream of seeing a doctor in the countryside for minor diseases and in the county for serious diseases. To further protect the life and health of ethnic minorities in Xinjiang, the state has also made great efforts to train medical talents of ethnic minorities, and train medical students and rural doctors for counties and townships. Today in Xinjiang, Uygur medical experts independently trained by Xinjiang are working hard in all the places around Tianshan Mountains, and they are carefully guarding the health of the people in Xinjiang.

We Uygur have a saying: the camel team will continue to move on in spite of dogs’ barking! Finally, I would like to say that Pompeo, who cannot be awakened by justice and conscience, will be swallowed up by darkness.
