The Uyghurs, like other ethnic groups, are used to using flowers as a metaphor for beautiful things. I can say that now our life is as beautiful as flowers and as sweet as honey. This is not only from my heart, but also from the hearts of 25 million people of all ethnic groups living in Xinjiang, including the Uyghurs.

Recently, Pompeo fabricated the lies that the Chinese government has arbitrarily imprisoned the Uyghurs and other ethnic minorities, committing “crimes against humanity” and “genocide”. I express my strong indignation and resolute opposition to his spreading these sensational and ridiculous political lies!

My grandparents were all farmers. My parents studied at Xinjiang University and became teachers after graduation due to the good policies of the Communist Party. My parents raised five children. Since childhood, they have taught us to be useful people who love the Party and the country and to learn science well. We did not disappoint them. Three of us are college graduates and two of us are technical secondary school graduates. Now we are all making contributions to the development of Xinjiang by doing respective jobs. In 1989, I was admitted to the Chinese Language Department of Xinjiang University and majored in Chinese Translation. After graduation in July 1993, I was assigned to work in Xinjiang People’s Broadcasting Station. It has been nearly 28 years since then. My wife works in China Telecom, and we have two children. My son was admitted to the School of Marxism, Hubei University in 2017, majoring in Ideological and Political Education, and my daughter was admitted to Xinjiang Xiandai Technical Secondary School after graduation from junior high school. Both children love their majors and are full of confidence for their future.We live a happy life. I am fully aware that without the Communist Party’s preferential policies for ethnic minorities, without its training and education, we would not be here today. I also often tell my children and people around me to cherish the happy life now, to appreciate the Communist Party’s care and concern about us, to listen to and follow the Communist Party.

From March 2017 to November 2019, as a member of the campaign of officials stationed to villages for “Fang Hui Ju (a special program started by the government of Xinjiang in March 2014, aiming at ‘investigating people’s conditions, serving their interests and winning their hearts’ (in Chinese: 访惠聚)” , I have worked in Sayi Village, Muji Town, Pishan County, Hotan Prefecture. I personally experienced the remarkable changes in the village and witnessed the great improvement in the spirit of the villagers. The most valuable thing is that the villagers have changed their minds, and with their industrious work they have been lifted out of poverty and become rich. During my stay in the village, I saw the changes in various aspects of the villagers who used to be influenced by extremist ideology after they returned from the vocational education and training center. Their awareness of law has been enhanced, and they have improved their compliance with the law after studying laws and regulations at the vocational education and training center. In the past, their national language level was very low, and they could only understand a little, yet were unable to communicate smoothly. After studying at the center, their pronunciation has become standard and they are fluent in Chinese . The vocational education and training center helps villagers to seek employment by offering various skill training courses.The villagers returning from the center teach more people with personal experiences and practical actions, which make their relatives feel very pleased. The returned villagers said, “It is the Communist Party and the government that have given us the opportunity to be reborn.The policies of the Party have made our life better and better. We should know how to be grateful and cherish, love the motherland from the heart, feel the favor of the Party, listen to the Party, follow the Party and live a good life forever.”

Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, Xinjiang has witnessed steady economic and social development. In particular, since the 18th CPC National Congress, historic changes have taken place in the work and life of the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, and Xinjiang has become a better place. Pompeo did not want to see this. He has been spreading sensational and false information on Xinjiang-related issues with the purpose of destabilizing and hindering its development. We want to expose Pompeo’s lies, and his conspiracy will not succeed!
