Recently, Pompeo, ignoring the facts of Xinjiang’s prosperity and development, fabricated false information and wantonly spread fallacies about Xinjiang. He has repeatedly targeted China, made vicious accusations, gravely interfered in China’s internal affairs and seriously hurt the feelings of people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. We firmly oppose and strongly condemn this.

I was born in Emin County, Tacheng Prefecture. Since childhood, as a beneficiary of the national education policy, I received a good education and went to university. After graduation, I was assigned to work in Karamay. With the great efforts of the Communist Party and my own efforts, I have grown from a technician to a leading cadre step by step.

Having been working and living in Karamay for thirty years, I have witnessed how this lovely city, the first oil city, was built into a harmonious, modern and livable city from the Gobi where there was no grass, no water and even no birds to fly under the joint construction of the people of all ethnic groups in more than 60 years. It was the first 10-million-ton oil field in western China, a harmonious, modern and livable city which created a miracle in the world.

The prosperity and development of Karamay is the Party Central Committee’s cordial concern for the cadres and masses of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, the comprehensive implementation of the party’s policies of benefiting the people and ethnic and religious policies, and the fruitful achievements made by the people of all ethnic groups in Karamay in their joint efforts. As a local resident in Karamay, I feel happy and proud to live in this modern oil city full of vigor and vitality. This kind of life is hard-won and created by people of all ethnic groups working together. We will never allow anyone to undermine our happy life.

Xinjiang belongs to China. The people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang should judge its affairs by themselves. The affairs of Xinjiang should be judged by the fact of stable development. Here, the customs of our ethnic minorities are respected, the excellent traditional cultures of all ethnic groups are protected, inherited and carried forward, the rights of all ethnic groups to use and develop their own languages are protected in accordance with the law, the people of all ethnic groups are held together like pomegranate seeds, and the sense of acquisition, happiness and security of all ethnic groups is unprecedentedly enhanced.

Facts speak louder than words, and justice speaks for itself. No matter how Pompeo lies, it will never cover up the fact that Xinjiang is prosperous and developing, nor change the fact that the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang live a happy life. I firmly believe that under the correct leadership of the CPC Central Committee, the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang will continue to run their own affairs well, implement the Party’s strategy for Xinjiang’s governance in the new era, and continue to develop and build our beautiful Xinjiang. Xinjiang’s sustained prosperity, ethnic unity and social harmony are the most powerful counterattack to those slanders and fallacies.
