Mamat Mamut, Head of Yeyungou Township, Luntai County
Recently, Pompeo has once again been hysterically barking. He slandered and discredited Xinjiang and wantonly attacked the Chinese government and the Communist Party with the most unacceptable lies. It’s complete nonsense. As a local minority cadre in Xinjiang, I want to stand up and use my personal experience to resolutely expose and spit on Pompeo’s Doomsday lies.
The supporting policies for Xinjiang have changed the fate of our minority children. The so-called “genocide” is a complete smear. In order to further implement the large-scale development of the western region, further accelerate the pace of talent training for all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, and promote the common prosperity and progress of all ethnic groups, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council have decided to start organizing Xinjiang senior high school classes in some economically developed cities in the interior of China since 2000. I was one of the first batch of beneficiaries of Xinjiang’s senior high school class policy. Thanks to the good national policy, I went to Beijing to enjoy free and high-quality education after graduating from junior high school. I learned Mandarin, mastered knowledge and broadened my horizon, and grew from a rural boy to a college student and a civil servant. Over the past two decades, the Communist Party and our country have implemented the policy on high school classes in Xinjiang, which has changed the lives of thousands of children and families like mine. Groups of Xinjiang students have received high-quality education in high schools and universities. Many of them have graduated and had jobs, becoming pillars of the country’s development. Nowadays, education conditions in both urban and rural areas in Xinjiang have been greatly improved, and the teaching staff has been strengthened as never before. All school-age children can enjoy fair and high-quality educational resources. The national language education gives the youth wings to realize their dreams, meets the strong demand of the people of all ethnic groups for the development of education, and makes the children have a bright future. How can it be “extinct”?! Pompeo is ridiculous!
Young people of ethnic minorities in Xinjiang go to work because they want to realize their value and pursue a better life. The so-called “forced labor” is sheer nonsense. Now I am working as a temporary post in Qingyunpu Town, Qingyunpu District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. My colleagues are very supportive of my work and care about my daily life. I feel the warmth of the big family of the Chinese nation here. In Nanchang, I have seen with my own eyes many people from Xinjiang, including the Uyghur, working and living here. Some are working in companies, some are starting their own businesses, some are studying in universities, and some are doing business. When I talk with them, they all feel that they were living a happy life in Nanchang and have great feelings for the city. Some of them settle down and their children go to local schools. On the road one day, I saw two Uyghur children from Moyu County, Hotan, going to primary school in the area where I work. They were happy and confident on the road wearing school uniforms, which made me envious. I think it’s a good thing for Xinjiang minority youth to come out to work and realize their pursuit of life, and that’s what aspiring youth should be like. Yes, yearning for a better life is the dream of all of us. How can we force it?!
National unity and social stability are the aspiration of all the people in Xinjiang. Pompeo’s absurd remarks of undermining national unity are deliberate provocation and wanton disturbance. The Party Committee of Yeyungou Township, where I work, won the honorary title of “National Model Collective for National Unity and Progress” in 2019, of which the cadres and masses of the township are very proud. There are Uyghur, Han, Hui and other ethnic groups in our village. They are very united with each other. They respect, help and appreciate each other. No matter which ethnic group, they cherish national unity as much as they cherish life. They cherish national unity as much as they cherish eyes. They hold together like pomegranate seeds. There are kindergartens and primary schools in the village. The children go to school nearby. The whole people enjoy free physical examination. There are subsidies for housing construction. The township nursing home provides high-quality services for the elderly. Through the development of forestry and fruit industry, breeding industry, personal entrepreneurship, employment and other ways, the villagers have a good life, and the poor households have also been lifted out of poverty, which can be described as bright spirit and full of pockets. National unity and social stability are the aspirations of the people of all ethnic groups in the township. Pompeo’s absurd remarks cannot shake our firm determination to safeguard national unity and social stability! Our cadres and masses of all ethnic groups firmly follow the Communist Party as firmly as a rock, invincible. Pompeo, your ulterior motives should be spared!
Finally, I would like to solemnly inform Pompeo that there will be no market for those remarks that attack our party and country, undermine national unity and smear Xinjiang. These slanderous remarks will be thrown into the dustbin of history, and you will become the joke of the whole world.
