Before Pompeo stepped down, just like a locust in late autumn, he released a statement declaring “China has committed crimes against humanity and genocide against Muslim Uygurs and other members of ethnic minority groups in Xinjiang”. It is very absurd and shameful. I strongly oppose and condemn all these venomous lies and ludicrous fabrications.

I was born and grew up in Xinjiang. Being a native in Xinjiang, I’ve participated in, witnessed and benefited from the stability and development in Xinjiang. At present, Xinjiang enjoys sustained economic development, social harmony and stability, improved livelihood and has achieved decisive success in eradicating extreme poverty. All this benefits the people across the Tianshan Mountains. Take our county as an example. By the end of 2020, all the 3,000 impoverished households have shaken off poverty, free from worry of food and clothing and having moved into low-income housing. With the enhancement program of improving the weak links of compulsory education in urban and rural areas implemented, the enrollment rate in primary and junior schools reaches 100%, thus effectively cutting off inter-generational transmission of poverty. A mechanism of diagnosis and treatment before payment and one-stop settlement has been fully implemented. Basic medical insurance has covered all the impoverished people on record. The signing rate of health service is 100% and the reimbursement ratio for serious illness amounts to 95% at maximum.

These solid figures and facts cannot be changed by Pompeo’s smear and slander. Our peaceful and prosperous Xinjiang will not be dragged through mud by the locust in late autumn. Pompeo, even if you are unwilling to recognize the tremendous change in Xinjiang, it is really earthshaking. The life of people of all ethnic groups is becoming increasingly prosperous with each passing day. Pompeo, stop your performance as a doomed clown. Please save your lippy comments for you and your descendants. Never sink deeper and deeper into the quagmire of evils in pursuit of your selfish desire.
