In January, 2021, Pompeo released a statement declaring a determination that “China has committed crimes against humanity and genocide against Muslim Uyghurs and other members of ethnic minority groups in Xinjiang”. It couldn’t be more preposterous. As a native cadre in Xinjiang, I shall lay Pompeo’s sheer lies bare relying on iron-clad facts.

As a native in Xinjiang, I will use my personal experience to tell you that what you said is sheer and utter nonsense and distortion of truth. People in Xinjiang are in the best position to tell whether it has done a good job, rather than you, making irresponsible remarks across the Atlantic Ocean. I was born and grew up in Xinjiang. I personally witnessed and participated in the gradual development in Xinjiang. After graduation from college in 1987, I started to teach there. During my teaching, I personally saw teachers and students of all ethnic groups working in solidarity and harmony. Many students of ethnic minorities like me grew up under the great care of the Communist Party and applied our knowledge to do our bit to accelerate Xinjiang’s development in all respects. Seeing students working so hard, I was full of zeal as well. Through determined effort and thanks to the cultivation of the Communist Party, I obtained the golden opportunity to serve in a lower-level unit for a period as one of the first batch of cadres in Xinjiang. With this chance, I came back to my hometown, Yanqi County and changed into a Party and government cadre.

 As a cadre with the United Front Work Department of CPC Yanqi County Committee, I am in the better position to talk about ethnic solidarity and my true feelings. In order to carry out the substantial assistance and support for the impoverished households, all the cadres and staff members here make concerted effort to formulate some targeted support measures in line with the actual situation of needy people. The cadres and staff members in our county have done 23 thousand substantial things and donated over 190 thousand yuan and nearly 42 thousand supplies for those people in need. We have also helped them as follows: to get medical treatment for 9,168 times, to receive schooling for 162 times, to obtain employment for 7,363 times and to develop production for 1,537 times, benefiting more than 10 thousand households of all ethnic groups. Sincere assistance and genuine support have been brought to people of all ethnic groups. There are so many preferential policies, fine people and good deeds to be counted. Therefore, people’s well-being is achieved through mutual effort of all ethnicity under the leadership and care of the Communist Party and government.

Pompeo’s lies on Xinjiang are not only major insults to the 1.4 billion Chinese people including 25 million Xinjiang residents, but also major insults to the judgment of American people and the international community. What’s worse, he has betrayed and challenged morality and conscience of humanity. Pompeo’s neglect of truth and pursuit of lies reflects not only his own despicable character, but also some American forces’ ill intention to interfere in China’s internal affairs, undermine its stability and security, and contain its development under the pretext of human rights in Xinjiang.

A wise man does not believe in rumors. Seeing is believing. It is the best way to debunk rumors. People of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang have participated in and witnessed its construction and development. Today I will use all these iron-clad facts to expose your lies through and through. People of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang will never believe in your bullshit. Stop spreading your venomous lies. In our eyes, you are only a doomed clown concocting lies.
