Pompeo fabricated groundless lies and wantonly spread Xinjiang-related false remarks, claiming that Xinjiang committed “genocide” and “crimes against humanity”against Muslim Uyghurs and other ethnic minorities. He made unfounded attack on the Chinese government’s governance of Xinjiang, intentionally defamed the good condition in Xinjiang and the happy life of people of all ethnicity. His vile charge seriously violates international law and the fundamental guidelines of international relation, which is a rude interference in China’s internal affairs and hurt people of all ethnicity in Xinjiang. I am strongly indignant to it and firmly oppose it.

Currently, Xinjiang sees sustained economic development, social harmony and stability, improving livelihood and people enjoying their life and work. Take Khorgas City as an example. Being a new city established in 2014, Khorgas City has developed rapidly. Within several years, it has changed from a village in the front region to a booming city. In 2020, its total production value was 6.33 times that of 2015 and the average annual per capita disposable income of urban residents saw an increase of over 7%.All the impoverished population in the city have been lifted out of poverty and people of all ethnicity are getting richer and richer. In contrast to the above facts, Pompeo’s “determination” is nothing but a piece of waste paper.

Being a grassroot cadre of ethnic background in Ili, I have experienced the great changes in my hometown.Farmers and herdsmen have moved to spacious government-subsidized houses from mud houses and the unpaved roads have been replaced by cemented roads leading to different directions.Beautiful countryside construction has made the villages get better. All the farmers and herdsmen have enjoyed real favorable policies in free compulsory education, social security, and planting subsistence,etc..Those without jobs are helped by the government for employment, those without the capability to work are provided social security, those without skills are given free training and those who can’t speak Mandarin are taught language courses in the night school. In a word, people’s life is getting better and better. Can Pompeo’s nonsense write all the above off? Can it be that Pompeo’s “human rights”means to allow terrorism and extremism become popular? Can it be that what Pompeo intends to defend as “human rights” is to back those terrorists up and allow them to wantonly trample human rights by killing innocent people and destroying the happy life of people of all ethnic groups?

Born and growing up in Xinjiang, I have felt deeply that only social stability can quicken the pace of social economic development , enable people of all ethnicity share the fruits of reform and development.No lie can write off the facts of development and progress of human rights in Xinjiang and no slander can ever prevent the pace of solidarity and progress of people of all ethnicity in Xinjiang. Pompeo, your fabrications and nonsense are futile in face of facts. The social economic development of Xinjiang is not what you, a clown can ever stop!
