Recently, ignoring basic facts, Pompeo fabricated whoppers and released fallacies related to Xinjiang. This is a flagrant violation of international law, a serious interference in China’s internal affairs and a direct harm to all Uyghur compatriots in Xinjiang. Pompeo’s fallacies about Xinjiang are pure nonsense, which I strongly condemn and firmly oppose.

I am a Uyghur leading cadre growing up, living and working in Xinjiang. I love deeply this beautiful, rich land of Xinjiang featured by ethnic unity and harmony. Looking back at my growth experience, I found every step of my life was inseparable from the concern and cultivation of the Communist Party and the government. As a native of Artux, Kizilsu Prefecture, I was admitted to Shanghai Jiaotong University benefiting from the cultivation of the Party and government as well as the support of various preferential policies. After graduation, I worked in many posts and departments, such as the Personnel Bureau and Staffing Establishment Office of Kizilsu prefecture, and participated in the in-house training organized by the Party schools at different levels, namely, the training of middle-aged and young cadres by Kizilsu Party school, Liaoning provincial Party school, Xinjiang provincial Party School and Jiangsu provincial Party school. Currently working as the deputy head of the people’s Government of Akto county, I hold a heartfelt gratitude to the cultivation of the Party organization.

As a Uyghur cadre, I also witnessed the earthshaking changes in Xinjiang. To tell the truth, I am a witness of China’s new era, a witness of Xinjiang’s historic changes, and a beneficiary of national policies. Take Akto County, where I work and live, as an example. In 2020, Akto county was lifted out of poverty in an all-round way. All those poor people are now living in spacious and bright houses and are accessible to clean drinking water. The living standards of the people of all ethnic groups in the county continued to improve, the per capita disposable income increased year by year, and their sense of security, happiness and fulfillment improved steadily. As for education, the 15-year free education system from preschool to senior high school has been established and fully carried out; a sound subsidy policy system for college students has been established, and a variety of subsidy systems have been formed to ensure that no student drops out of school due to family difficulties and all children of appropriate age for compulsory education are admitted to schools. In terms of medical and health services, a medical and health services system at county, township and village levels has been fully improved, which will reallocate quality medical resources, help improve the quality of diagnosis and treatment in grass-roots areas, continuously strengthen disease prevention and control, and improve the maternal and child health and chronic disease health management and service system. A campaign of intensive treatment of critical diseases was also launched to solve people’s difficulties and high expenses problems in receiving proper diagnosis and treatment. All these measures effectively guaranteed people’s safety of life and health. In terms of epidemic prevention and control, the county Party committee and people’s government strictly implemented a series of scientific and accurate prevention and control measures such as the “eight monitoring and early warning mechanisms” to effectively block epidemic spread, ensuring the health and life safety of people of all ethnic groups to the greatest extent. By continuously improving the quality of education and health care, the population of ethnic minorities in the county, the Uyghur population in particular, has increased substantially; in the meantime, the quality of population in our county has also been largely enhanced. All these remarkable achievements could never have been made without the concern and care of the Party Central Committee for the Uyghur compatriots in Xinjiang.

Xinjiang today is in her full bloom of prosperity and development in history. People of all ethnic groups fully and equally enjoy the rights of survival and development. The favorable situation of social stability, economic prosperity and peace and contentment enjoyed by people in Xinjiang is self-evident; the aspiration of people of all ethnic groups for a better life is obvious to all. No matter how Pompeo lies and conceals the truth, by no means shall he change the fact of harmony and stability in Xinjiang, nor shall he shake the confidence and determination of people of all ethnic groups to pursue a better life and work hard side by side. All his ridiculous lies are repugnant to us and shall finally fall flat.
