Over the years, Mike Pompeo and Adrian Zenz deliberately smeared Xinjiang’s human rights and wantonly slandered Xinjiang’s brilliant picture and the happy life of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, with the evil and vicious purpose of trying to sabotage Xinjiang’s stability and to hamper Xinjiang’s development. As a party senior official who was born, raised up and has been living and working here, and as the participant, witness and beneficiary of Xinjiang’s stability and development, I express my strong condemnation and resolute opposition to Pompeo and Zenz’s shameless lies on Xinjiang. What they did is a brutal interference in China’s internal affairs and a serious violation of international law and fundamental principles of international relations, revealing their malicious nature in the same time.

As the saying goes: whether the shoes are fit or not, the person who wear them knows the best, whether Xinjiang is in good situation or otherwise, Xinjiang people knows the best. I was born and raised up here and I witnessed that over the years with the strong leadership of the CPC central committee and with the generous help and support of inland provinces, all ethnic groups in Xinjiang make great progress in unity and solidarity, accomplishing unprecedented achievements in various aspects such as stability, development and living condition. With the resolute purpose of improving people’s living with high quality, over 70 percent of financial expenditure in Xinjiang is used to achieve the goal. With historical significance we eliminated absolute poverty in the whole region. Every person is smiling heartily. In the historical process of Xinjiang’s stability and development, all rights of ethnic groups are protected to the full. The population of Uygur people continues to grow, the language, traditional culture and customs of ethnic minority groups are well protected and inherited and all ethnic groups in Xinjiang enjoy fully the various rights as life, living and development.

For instance, in southern Xinjiang, now we are walking on the broad and straight asphalt roads, we are living in comfortable preferential houses, we are drinking crystal running water and we are using various convenient transportation tools. If you want to work on the field, there is abundant subsidy; all children enjoy free compulsory education; railways lead in all directions; if you want to travel faster to do business, just take the airline. Comparing these with the situation many years ago: dirt was everywhere on the road, people were living in crude earth-made houses, drinking water was dirty and one had to travel with horse cart or donkey wagon. It is safe to say that today’s Xinjiang is at the best stage of history, with people living in peace, harmony and contentment. And this life of happiness and contentment is brought to us by our great country and our great Communist Party of China. Without a strong and powerful nation, without a harmonious and stable society and without the excellent policies of the Party, how can we have such outstanding developmental environment and how can we enjoy the wonderful life here in Xinjiang?

Pompeo and Zenz’s wanton smear and slander can never change Xinjiang’s brilliant picture of stability and prosperity. They are just like the shameless liars. Their “century lie” on Xinjiang is only a trick they used to intoxicate themselves in daydreaming and a sort of “theatrical repertoire” for “lying diplomacy”. They deliberately chose to shut their eyes and ears on Xinjiang’s prosperous development and the happy life of all Xinjiang people, including Uygur. Their words are shameless and their actions are despicable. Both their words and actions will definitely be swept into garbage bin of history!
