Recently Pompeo and Adrian Zenz made up a series of rumors and lies about Xinjiang, calumniating that “Chinese government has committed genocide and crimes against humanity towards Uygur Muslims and other ethnic groups in Xinjiang”. This is total nonsense! I strongly condemn and resolutely oppose their words and actions.

I was born in Bole City in 1970s and I was born and raised up here in Xinjiang. With the care and support from the Party and government I grew up from an cadre working in the town administration to be a senior official in our county. Over the forty years, I have witnessed the whole process of poverty alleviation and its great achievement. All senior officials of the prefecture and county governments have been assigned to work and help in over 60 villages that were under the poverty standard. 1085 officials set up helping and aiding teams to help 1148 poverty-stricken families. Specific measures have been taken. Concrete problems and issues were put forward and countermeasures were proposed in the first place. With years of these hard working efforts, the battle of fighting against poverty have been won with full victory. Meanwhile, the national strategy of rejuvenating countryside is also carried out. A series of policies and programs have been taken to make our villages brighter, more beautiful and greener. A great many beneficiary policies for farmers have been carried out with excellent results: the environment in the villages and farms improves rapidly and the roads inside and along villages are more spacious and bright with luxurious green trees all along. Villagers are more and more motivated to participate in improving their living environment. The sense of happiness for villagers increases all the time. Measures to control covid-19 are fully carried out, all citizens enjoy free testing on nucleic acid, environment is sterilized on schedule and all these actions are taken to make sure that the covid-19 can not find its way here at all. So far, in Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture (including Jinghe County), there is zero case of covid-19. Living and working are going on with order and the vaccination is being done step by step.

The excellent policies and measures from the Party are as numerous as the stars in the sky. All I want to say is: Pompeo and Zenz, mind your own business and your own people. You have no right at all to interfere in other people’s affairs. China’s development will not be influenced by the false and ridiculous remarks from you two. The same is also true for Xinjiang’s stability and development!
