Aishanjiang Abudukelimu, Deputy Secretary General of the People’s Government of Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture
Recently, Mike Pompeo and Adrian Zenz wantonly attacked and smeared Chinese government’s policies in governing Xinjiang, willfully slandering and vilifying Xinjiang’s brilliant picture of stability and development and the happy life of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang that is earned with diligent efforts. Their words and actions are brutal interference in China’s internal affairs. I express my utmost condemnation and resolute opposition to these words and actions.
With the care, education and support of the Party, I grow up to be a party official. My father is an honored veteran of the People’s Liberation Army. When he was retired from military career, he became a worker in Jinghe County Salt Factory. In my childhood the condition in my family was quite difficult, but my father always taught us children (five of us brothers and sisters) to follow the words and actions of the Party, to be an honest man and to do honest deeds. He also told us that when we grow up we have to put the work in the first place, because only with a powerful country can we have our own happy family. With the teaching of my father, from the childhood I formed the will of following the words and actions of the Party. Graduated from Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture Teachers College, I became an honored teacher. Then I worked in various positions as policeman, translator, secretary, accountant and cashier etc. In May, 1995, I was honored to join in the Party and then I was assigned as the deputy director of publication bureau in a certain county, which was the beginning of my management career. As a person who was born and raised up in Bortala, since childhood I have been living, studying and growing up together with friends of various ethnic groups as Han, Mongolian and Hui and so on. We enjoyed the happy and peaceful living environment and helped and supported each other. We have become very good friends and there is a profound bond among us. The seed of ethnic unity is also rooted deeply inside us and it grows up with us growing up. On each occasion of festival or holiday, we visit each other and greet with cards, gifts and blessings. Together we witnessed the historical changes happening in China and personally felt the dear care and attention from the Party and government.
From the bottom of my heart, I know that without the care of the Party I can not achieve what I am today and without the leadership of the Party we can not enjoy the happy life that we have today. Happy life is hard earned and we should cherish that dearly. At present, the comprehensive capability of Bortala increases steadily, all businesses that are related to people’s livelihood are developing rapidly, the previous poverty-stricken families are out of poverty, and basic insurance in food, living, compulsory education, medical care and housing is fully realized. All children who are at the right age to go to school are enjoying the free compulsory education and all citizens are covered by various medical care insurances. The infrastructure both in urban and rural areas is improved greatly and the living environment is better and better. The society is stable and there are more and more exchange and communication activities among ethnic groups. Bortala has been listed as the demonstration prefecture for national ethnic unity, where the security is ensured, living environment is safe and sound and the society is stable.
In Uygur language there is a saying: no matter how hard the mad dogs are barking, the camel group continues to move forward. No evil slander and malicious smear can stop the Chinese nation to be unified. Nothing can stop all ethnic groups in Xinjiang to be united and to develop. Xinjiang’s tomorrow is surely to be more and more bright!
