Some time ago, neglecting facts, Pompeo deliberately fabricated and distorted the good situation of stability and unity and the happy life of people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. He was utterly lying with his eyes open and full of nonsense. As a Uyghur cadre, I firmly oppose it.

Whether our life is happy or not, people of all ethnic groups living in Xinjiang have the utmost say and the deepest feelings. From my personal experiences of growth, like other ethnic comrades attending college inland, I deeply feel the care of the Communist Party and government for ethnic minorities. In the early 1990s, I came to Beijing to study as a college student. We enjoyed the best education and learning environment. We never had any worries about our study and life. We felt the warmth of our motherland. After graduating from college, I came back to my hometown to work. I witnessed the earthshaking development and changes in my hometown. The urban and rural areas of Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture take on a new look. From the former border town, Bole City has developed into an ecological city and happy city with well-developed transportation, high-rise buildings, lucid water and green trees, beautiful environment and perfect facilities. Especially in recent years, there are more and more air routes, faster and faster train speed and more and more trains in this prefecture, which greatly facilitates the travel of people of all ethnic groups. The agricultural and pastoral areas have also taken on a new look. All the village teams have had easy access to water and electricity, and set up bilingual kindergartens, health centers and other service facilities. Farmers and herdsmen have moved from plain adobe houses to bright and comfortable low-income housing.

In terms of cultural development, Bozhou’ s Mongolian, Uyghur, Kazakh and other ethnic minority cultures have been effectively protected and carried forward. Each year, people of all ethnic groups celebrate the Chinese New Year and the Corban with performances with national characteristics such as the Uyghur’s Meshrep and the Kazakh’s Aytes and the Mongolian Nadam Fair. Cultural centers, libraries, museums, grass-roots cultural stations and other public cultural facilities are open to the public for free. Every household has access to radio and television, and rural movies and rural libraries cover all the village teams. Novel and diverse fitness equipment is popularized in remote village teams. Rich and interesting sports competitions and fitness activities are welcomed by the masses of all ethnic groups. Intangible culture heritage is effectively protected. With more and more eye-catching cultural products, the cultural life of people of all ethnic groups is becoming increasingly rich, and their sense of fulfillment, happiness, and security is constantly enhanced. During the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, the Chinese government put people and life first and take resolute, scientific and decisive measures to protect the safety and health of all people including Uyghurs to the greatest extent possible. It has proved people-centered value pursuit of CPC. The rights to life and subsistence have been greatly guaranteed. All the Uyghur people feel the greatness of their motherland and are extremely proud. How can Pompeo’s lies erase all these achievements?

Actions speak louder than words. Pompeo’s despicable act of deviating from the truth and maliciously slandering China is deeply disgusting and will never be accepted. We warn Pompeo that there is no good end to distorting facts and talking nonsense. We should stand up bravely, fight back Pompeo’s badmouthing with practical actions, and cherish this hard-won situation of stability and unity in Xinjiang.Our happy life will never be smeared or destroyed by Pompeo.
