Looking back on the great course of the people of all ethnic groups working hard for Xinjiang’s transformation, and looking forward to the bright and beautiful development prospects of Xinjiang, I feel extremely glorious and proud. My name is Ayiguli Yibulayin. I am currently the Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Heshuo County, Bayingulin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang. Over the past 30 years, I have witnessed the tremendous changes in the work and life of the people of all ethnic groups in Heshuo County, Xinjiang.

The living environment has been greatly improved. Heshuo County started the construction of beautiful countryside in March 2017, and the State invested 450 million yuan to complete the infrastructure construction of 23 villages of Heshuo county. Up to now, full coverage has been achieved in the following aspects: centralized treatment of rural domestic waste, courtyard water supply, street greening, and reconstruction of walls along the street. The coverage rate of sanitary toilets is 99%, and the coverage rate of household asphalt road is more than 90%. 145 new houses were built to benefit the people, and 1062 adobe houses were demolished for reconstruction. People of all ethnic groups in Heshuo live in beautiful villages with blue sky, green land, clear water and fragrant flowers.

Courtyard economy improves the income of villagers. In the process of promoting the construction of beautiful countryside, Heshuo County plans the economic development of courtyard at the same time, insisting on taking the renovation of courtyard as the premise and guarantee for the development of courtyard. Heshuo County has completed the renovation of 237 courtyard households, and 5817 courtyard households have realized the “separation of four sections”. We encourage farmers to develop “vegetable garden” and “fruit basket”, helping 992 poor households and 6092 ordinary households to develop courtyard economy and build farmers’ courtyard from “a patch of land” into a “income increasing garden”. With this measure we try to help villagers to increase their income and live a rich life and also prevent a rural courtyard from being idle and abandoned. We help farmers realize the living mode of “one grape, one flock of chickens, one nest of pigeons, one flock of sheep, and one greenhouse of vegetables” so as to improve the courtyard economy of the county. The proportion of courtyard economy demonstration households is more than 30%, and the average annual net income of courtyard economy demonstration households is higher than that of other villagers by 2000 yuan.

I have lived, studied and worked in Xinjiang for 50 years. I have received formal education from the State since I was a child. All my four brothers and sisters graduated from university. They are all Party members and civil workers. After graduating from university, I started to work at the grass-roots level, and successively held leading positions in the Women's Federation, Development and Reform Commission, Bureau of Finance, Family Planning Commission and other posts in the county. Under the cultivation of the Party, I have grown into an official at the county level. After working in many departments, I deeply feel that in Xinjiang, the basic national policy of equality between men and women has been well implemented. Men and women have truly achieved equality in society and family, the marriage and birth rights of ethnic minorities have been respected to the greatest extent, and the birth rate and growth rate of ethnic minorities are not only higher than that of the whole county, but also far higher than that of the Han population. The proportion of students of ethnic minorities who study in junior and senior classes and receive higher education is much higher than that of Han students.

“A lie told a thousand times is still a lie and will never become truth.” Since ancient times, in China or abroad, in every dynasty, regardless of ideology, being honest and keeping one’s promise is regarded as the basic norm for a country and an individual. As a politician who has received western higher education and won a place in the world political arena, Pompeo cheated the world and lied to the people of the world. Here, I solemnly warn Pompeo and his likes: behave yourself! The happy life of the people in Xinjiang will not be affected by your words. You can do nothing but strengthen the confidence and determination of the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang to build a beautiful home.
