In the past, Pompeo frequently published lies about Xinjiang, ignoring facts, attacking and deliberately discrediting the policy of the Chinese government in Xinjiang. He grossly interfered in China’s internal affairs, which seriously violated the basic principles of international law and international relations. Pompeo’s purpose was to stir up ethnic dissensions in Xinjiang. He tried to cover up the facts and deceive the international community with lies, which exposes his ugly nature of destroying Xinjiang’ prosperity and social stability and curbing China’s development and progress.

Pompeo falsely accused China of committing “genocide” and “crimes against humanity” against Uygur Muslims and other ethnic minorities in Xinjiang. I just want to ask Pompeo, do you know anything about Xinjiang? Do you know anything about the life of the people in Xinjiang? Since you know nothing about the actual situation in Xinjiang, what qualifications do you have to accuse China without any basis? How dare you interfere in China’s internal affairs? Why do you smear our Xinjiang?

My childhood was spent in a small village where Han and Uygur people live together. Children of different ethnic groups play and grow up together, and never alienate each other just because of different ethnic habits. Since my childhood, my parents have always taught me that it is the Communist Party of China that liberated Xinjiang and had us live a good life. I also received good education under the care of the Party and the State. After my graduation from university, I returned to work in my hometown and grew up into a grass-roots official.

As a an official of the United Front Work system, I have always adhered to the national policy of Chinese citizens’ religious freedom in my work. No organization or individual can force citizens to believe in religion or not, and no one should be discriminated against because of their religious or non-religious belief. Religious activities are normally open every day, and basic daily living facilities such as cultural rooms, medical boxes, drinking water machines and air conditioning fans are provided in the religious places to fully guarantee and care for the believers’ activities. Pompeo, you slander us by using the so-called “religious issues”, provoke the ethnic dissensions and destroy harmony of our ethnic and religious relations. You confounded the right and wrong and your plot will never succeed. The eyes of the masses can are sharp enough to see through your lies and no Chinese citizen are blinded by your lies.

I am a native in Qiemo County. In nearly 40 years of living and working in Qiemo, I witnessed the prosperity and development of Xinjiang and Qiemo. Qiemo has developed from a small poverty-stricken place into a prosperous county where people live and work for a well-off life. I have witnessed the great changes in Xinjiang, and what I see and hear is totally different from the fallacy of Pompeo! As a participant, witness and beneficiary of Xinjiang’s stable development, I have the responsibility to tell the truth. At present, Xinjiang is in a period of great opening up, great development and great construction. People of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang fully enjoy human rights, and all ethnic groups are jointly working together for the prosperity, development and progress of Xinjiang.

The progress of Xinjiang of course cannot be separated from the policy support of the State. The old rural areas take on a new look. The messy dirt roads have turned into clean and broad asphalt roads. Farmers and herdsmen move from small and old houses into clean and beautiful houses built to benefit the villagers. The nine-year compulsory education has fully covered all the children of school age, and rural children can enter the park for free. I warn Pompeo that Xinjiang is China’s Xinjiang, and that the Uygur is a member of the Chinese family. Any plot to provoke the ethnic dissensions in China and curb China’s development is doomed to fail and will eventually become a laughing stock of history.

Anything in Xinjiang belongs to China’s internal affairs. You Pompeo has no right to interfere. Your wanton speech is a ridicule in the eyes of people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. You are criticized by American media as the worst Secretary of State in history. Since you can’t handle your own affairs well, How can you interfere in China’s internal affairs?
