Recently, when he was about to leave office, the former US Secretary of State Pompeo released a “century lie”, falsely claiming that Xinjiang had committed “genocide” and “crimes against humanity” against Uygur Muslims and other ethnic minorities. Pompeo attacked and discredited Xinjiang madly, once again exposing the ugly nature of “the worst and most shameless Secretary of State in history”.

Crimes against humanity and genocide are clearly defined in international law. The so-called “genocide” and “crimes against humanity” committed by China in Xinjiang are the sensational false propositions and malicious farce deliberately concocted by anti-China individual and anti-Communist forces represented by Pompeo. They only exist in the ugly political conspiracies of Pompeo and his likes. They have never happened, do not and will not happen in China!

In the 1970s, I was born in Ruoqiang County, Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture. Under the care and grace of the Party and the government, after graduating from Xinjiang Normal University, I grew up step by step from the grassroots. Like the masses of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, I have personally experienced the great changes that have taken place in Xinjiang over the years. I remember when I was a child, my family lived in a bungalow. At that time, the neighbors were Han and Hui. All the time, the neighbors of all ethnic groups lived in unity and harmony. When the family had something in need, everyone came to help. During the traditional festivals of the Chinese nation, such as the Spring Festival, the Corban Festival, Id al-fitr and the Mid Autumn Festival, everyone ate together, enjoyed together, and congratulated each other. When I was in university, our university was a big family of students and teachers of all ethnic groups living in harmony. There were students of Uygur, Han, Kazak, Mongolian, Hui, Kirgiz and other ethnic groups in the university. The university also gave a lot of care to students of ethnic minorities in terms of students’ life, which made me feel the warmth of the big family of all ethnic groups. We also adopted a united and friendly attitude and practical action to treat every student. Even after my graduation for many years, we still maintain close contact. This is the most common scene in all parts of Xinjiang. All ethnic groups are close to each other and depend on each other. There is no question of persecution carried out by a certain group to another and oppression imposed by a certain ethnic group on another. Under the firm leadership of the CPC Central Committee, great changes have taken place in Xinjiang, and unprecedented achievements have been accomplished in economic and social development and improvement of people’s livelihood. All the places around Tianshan Mountains present a good situation of social stability, economic prosperity and people’s well-being.The sense of gain, happiness and security of the people of all ethnic groups has been continuously enhanced.

After I came to work in Alashankou City, I witnessed the great changes that have taken place in Alashankou in recent years. During the 13th Five Year Plan period, we focused on the general goal of social stability and long-term security, and implemented comprehensive policies to solve problems concerning both the symptoms and the root. The overall social situation remained stable, and we successfully established ourselves as a national demonstration city of ethnic unity and progress and an excellent city of public security in Xinjiang. We implement the new development concept, promoting high-quality development, take the initiative, breaking through the difficulties, and have greatly enhanced our comprehensive strength. We have been approved as a national logistics hub of land border port type. We vigorously promote infrastructure construction, making up for weaknesses, improve quality and innovation, and make cities more livable and suitable for business. We are carrying out the strategy of building an ecological city, with determination to win the battle of pollution prevention and control, and continuously optimizing the ecological environment. We adhere to the people-centered development idea, constantly guaranteeing and improving people’s livelihood, and constantly enhancing our living standards. Every year, the key livelihood projects solemnly committed to the society are all completed on schedule, so that the high-quality development achievements have benefited the people of all ethnic groups in Alashankou city.

Since 2020, in the combat against COVID-19, the Party committee and government of Alashankou always adhere to the supremacy of the people and the supremacy of life. They take resolute, scientific and decisive measures, firmly and resolutely guard the gate of the port, and maximize the protection of the life and health of all ethnic groups, including the Uygur. On the contrary, Pompeo and his likes ignored the epidemic situation in the United States and only put others for blame. Justice may be late, but it won’t be absent. All kinds of lies and pernicious things that Pompeo spread in recent years will be swept into the garbage of history with him, and Pompeo and his likes will also be judged and punished by history.
