Pompeo made his “desperate aggression” by issuing a series of fallacies about Xinjiang, which viciously attacked and discredited Xinjiang, maliciously slandered the human rights situation and wantonly smeared China’s policies on Xinjiang. What he did is a flagrant violation of international law and basic norms governing international relations, showing his ugliness and sinister intentions of hegemonism once again. I firmly oppose and strongly condemn such shameless acts.

Thanks to China’s preferential policies towards ethnic minorities, I have attended university and grown into a leading woman official from a Uygur farmer’s family. I have a happy family. My husband also works as a government official. Both of our children have graduated from college and got good jobs. Our family is just a miniature of thousands of happy families in Xinjiang. People of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang have benefited from the development of China in the first place. Take the healthcare undertakings as an example, every village is now equipped with a clinic so that villagers could see the doctor without stepping out of the village. Every household has access to their own family doctor for consultation about heath issues whenever needed. Thanks to better security policies, we won’t worry so much about the cost any more.

Pompeo concocted a story that “Uygurs and other ethnic and religious minorities are being subjected to forced labor”, which is totally groundless. These years Hotan has beefed up efforts on employment programs in the public interest to offer more job opportunities to people of all ethnic groups, who could choose their careers in their own will and sign labor contracts with relevant enterprises in accordance with the law. In this way, they get stable jobs and salaries. They are no longer farmers but industrial workers, living a happy life through hard work. Therefore, many good changes have taken place in people’s life and mindset as they get richer, live a happier life and beam a brighter smile.

I advise you, Pompeo, to respect the fact, shut up your mouth, stop fabricating rumors, stop interfering in China’s internal affairs by making irresponsible remarks on Xinjiang, and stop ruining our hard-earned happy life. Xinjiang will never stop forging ahead because of your lies, frauds and rumors!
