Not long ago, Pompeo and Adrian Zenz made up a series of lies on Xinjiang, cooking up their fallacies that Xinjiang is committing “crimes against humanity” and “genocide” towards “Uygur and other ethnic minorities.” These are completely disregarding and distorting facts, deliberately slandering the human rights situation in Xinjiang, and wantonly smearing the good situation and the happy life of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. Obviously, their extremely malicious intentions are to sabotage Xinjiang’s stability and hamper Xinjiang’s development.

Strongly, I, being an ethnic official and a member of Communist Party of China, express my indignation and firmly oppose against these words and actions. As everyone can see, there has not been a single case of violent terrorism in Xinjiang in recent years, and local people’s lives has been effectively guaranteed. And Xinjiang’s economy develops steadily: All the poor people have been pulled from abject poverty, all poor villages have been withdrawn, and all poor counties have been removed from the poverty list and we have attained a complete victory in the fight against poverty. Also, the religious freedom right of ethnic people in Xinjiang are fully respected and protected, and the normal religious activities of Muslims are protected by law. The language, culture, and customs of all ethnic minorities in Xinjiang are well protected and inherited too. As for education, the right to education of all ethnic minorities in Xinjiang has been fully guaranteed, with full coverage of nine-year compulsory education. Three-year preschool education and twelve-year basic education in southern Xinjiang are fully covered. The various social medical insurance systems in Xinjiang are being completed, and therefore local people are living a stable, peaceful and happy life.

I was born and grew up in Xinjiang. I have been striving for the development of Xinjiang. It is the Party and our country’s caring and nurturing that makes me grow. I have two children, and they all have received a good education: one is a middle school student in Hami city, the other studies abroad after graduating from a university in south province of China, and will soon return to the motherland. My family and I have always been bathed in the kindness of the Party. It is under the Party’s great policies that my family and I are cultivated to be useful to our society. Therefore, I often tell my children to dedicate what they have learned to our country and people, and I also tell my eldest son that he should return home to contribute himself to the construction of his hometown and repay the kindness of the Party.

In recent years, I have been working in Lukeqin Town, Shanshan County. I have witnessed the remarkable changes in Lukeqin Town. The villagers’ spirit has been greatly improved. The most valuable thing is that the villagers have changed their minds and there are smiles on their faces. Instead of waiting and relying on others, they get rid of poverty and become rich with their hardworking hands. The villagers say: “It is the various policies of the Party and the government that benefit us. we must be grateful and cherish what we have now. The future will get better and better, and we will live a more prosperous life.” Over the years, local villagers and I have witnessed the changes in Lukeqin Town. Poor households have received basic living allowance. There are some special medical services for serious illnesses, and subsidies for affordable housing family. If students are admitted to university, government will award them scholarships, etc. These policies have truly benefited the people of all ethnic groups and make their life happier. Lukeqin Town is also rated as the National Advanced Group for Poverty Alleviation.

Pompeo and Adrian Zenz turned a blind eye to these facts, and regarded lies as truth, but lies cannot cover up the fact that people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang are united for a better life. Under the leadership of the Party, people in Xinjiang have composed a song of entrepreneurial struggle, a song of national unity, and a song of prosperity and stability. These achievements are the result of the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee and also a joint effort of the whole Party and the whole nation. They also embody the wisdom and efforts of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. It has shown that under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and in the embrace of the motherland, Xinjiang is prosperous and developing by now. We will never allow any unscrupulous people to slander China’s policies towards Xinjiang and achievements, and we will never allow anyone with malicious intent to obliterate people’s good life in Xinjiang. The lies of Pompeo and Adrian Zenz will never obstruct people’s yearning for and pursuit of stability, unity, and a happy life!
