Recently, Mike Pompeo and Adrian Zenz repeatedly made groundless accusations of Xinjiang, deliberately denigrating the human rights situation in Xinjiang and viciously attacking the Chinese government's policies on governing Xinjiang. I express strong indignation and firm opposition to this.

As a deputy to the People's Congress, I have attended the two sessions of Karamay City. Deputies from all walks of life, such as education, medical care, individual business, fully enjoy the rights to participate in the administration and discussion of state affairs. The Standing Committees of the People’s Congress at all levels in Xinjiang have always adhered to and perfected the fundamental political system of the People’s Congress system, insisted on the organic unity of party leadership, the people’s mastery of the country, and the rule of law, and insisted on scientific legislation, democratic legislation, and law-based legislation to carry out completely and accurately the Party’s strategy for governing Xinjiang in the new era as the main line of the National People’s Congress. Focusing on social stability and the general goal of long-term stability, we have provided legal support for the people’s rights and interests through legislative work, provided service in the interest of people through supervision, and gathered strength to achieve the happiness of the people through the work of the deputies. We will make every legislation a “good law” which reflects the will of the people and is supported by the people in Xinjiang. Law-based governance of Xinjiang represents the right path in the world and conforms to social conditions and the aspirations of the people.

Under the rule of law, public security in Xinjiang has continued improving. No violent or terrorist cases have occured in Xinjiang in the past four years. Terrorist activities have been effectively curbed, and significant progress has been made in de-radicalization. People of all ethnic groups live and work in peace and contentment. The counter-terrorism and de-radicalization measures in Xinjiang have been supported by people of all ethnic groups in China, making positive contributions to the international counter-terrorism campaign and gaining recognition from many countries.

Xinjiang belongs to China, and its affairs are the affairs of the people of all ethnic groups in China. No external forces have the right to interfere. Facing the rumors and slanders of Pompeo and Adrian Zenz, I believe that people all over the world have a ruler, a mirror, a scale and an account in their hearts. After all, truth cannot be hidden, and justice is in the hearts of the people.
