Recently, Pompeo published a century lie before his last days in the office, falsely claiming that the Chinese government has committed "genocide" and "crimes against humanity" against Uygurs and other ethnic minorities. Such lies seriously hurt the feelings of the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. As a member of the local People's Congress, I strongly condemn and firmly oppose Pompeo's fallacy concerning Xinjiang!

I am a cadre of the Standing Committee of Tianshan District People's Congress. I was born in Minfeng County, Hotan Prefecture in southern Xinjiang, and worked in the County for 17 years. Minfeng County is located in the northern foot of Kunlun Mountains. There are Niya River, Qiqihan River, Yeyike River, Yatungus River and Andier River in the County. It is rich in mineral and animal resources. Niya black chicken and Niya mutton are special products of Minfeng County and geographical indications of national agricultural products. The beauty of my hometown lies not only in the pleasant scenery, but also in the unity and harmony of the people of all ethnic groups living here. Fortunately, when I went back to my hometown, I was surprised to find the dramatic change of locals’ life, from shabby roads and donkey-driven carts were replaced by pave highway and private cars, which made all farmers grateful to the government.

As cadres of the Tianshan District People's Congress, we exercise our power and perform our duties in accordance with the law to ensure the full implementation of the Constitution and the regional ethnic autonomy law, the representative law, and the election law in Tianshan District. People of all ethnic groups, regardless of their population and religious beliefs, are politically equal, enjoying the same rights and performing the same obligations in accordance with the law, and can effectively express their demands The issue of "violation of the human rights of ethnic minorities" as the US side calls it does not exist.

Pompeo's remarks concerning Xinjiang ignored the stable development of Xinjiang and the objective fact that the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang are united, harmonious and live and work in peace and contentment. He arbitrarily accused and discredited the stable development of Xinjiang and maliciously attacked the Chinese government's policy of governing Xinjiang. He totally ignored facts and confused right and wrong. His purpose was to destroy the stability of Xinjiang and obstruct the development of Xinjiang for his evil political purposes.

I firmly believe that with the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee and the close unity of the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, Pompeo's attempts to undermine the prosperity and stability of Xinjiang and contain China's development will not succeed, and his attempts to interfere in China's internal affairs through Xinjiang related issues and undermine the stable development of Xinjiang will be doomed to failure.
