Recently, Pompeo and Adrian Zenz staged the Xinjiang-related fallacies, falsely claiming that Xinjiang is committing "genocide" and “crimes against humanity“ towards Muslims and ethnic minorities, grossly interfering in China's internal affairs, and made indiscreet remarks on human rights situation, anti-terrorist and de-radicalization measures in Xinjiang, which fully exposes their “double standards” on the anti-terrorist issues. As a Xinjiang-raised Uygur member of Communist Party of China, I have participated in, witnessed and benefited from the stable development in Xinjiang, and I have to express my firm opposition and strong condemnation indignantly!

My name is Alimu Bahayiding. I was born in Xia village, Toksun County, Turpan City in 1971. I am a Uygur cadre growing up step by step by taking part in various jobs in Turpan’s agricultural and rural system. As people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, I have been growing up under the care and favor of the CPC and government, and have personally experienced the development, reform and construction of Xinjiang. My father is a Uygur cadre member of CPC, coming out of the rural family. What he said the most to me is that our happy life, the prosperity and the stability of Xinjiang could not be separated from the correct leadership of CPC. As a Uygur cadre member of the CPC educated by the CPC for many years, in December 2017, I shouldered the mission of the team leader of the work team in Muri Tuke Village, Shengjin Township, Gaochang District. Over 1,000 days and nights in 4 years, I led 7 team members selected by the Agricultural and Rural Bureau of Turpan City to bring our superiorities into full play in Muri Tuke Village and take the initiative to assist poverty-alleviation and rural-revitalization. We have established a professional grape-planting cooperative for poor households and a courtyard economy to grow fruits and vegetables, meanwhile, we have carried out detailed assistance work. As a participant, I have witnessed the earth-shaking changes in the lives of local compatriots of all ethnic groups.

The Xinjiang-related issue is not an issue related to ethnic, religious or human rights, but an issue of combating violence, terrorism, and anti-separatism. As a Chinese citizen living here, I know the truth better than others and I have more rights to speak. For some time, the land of Xinjiang has been heavily influenced by ethnic separatist forces, religious extremist forces, and violent terrorist forces. Terrorist incidents have occurred frequently, causing great harm to the lives and property of all ethnic groups. At present, the society is harmonious and stable; the economy continues to develop; the people live and work in peace; ethnic minorities’ customs and habits are respected and inherited; and the policy for freedom of religious belief has been implemented in Xinjiang. No terrorist incidents occurred in over 4 years, meanwhile, criminal cases and public security cases showed a drastic dip in the same period. The people of all ethnic groups are beaming with joy and smile. People enjoy the dividends of harmony and stability. Farmers and herdsmen live in safe houses with guaranteed water, electricity, Internet, and heating. Residents’ basic medical insurance participation rate has reached 99.7%. These facts around me are the most powerful evidence to break the lies of Pompeo and Adrian Zenz. A shameless farce directed by Pompeo and Adrian Zenz before leaving office aims at provoking ethnic relations, undermining social stability, hindering Xinjiang's development, and misleading international public opinion is unveiled.

COVID-19 ravaged the world in 2020. Pompeo fully used his skills in "buck-passing" and "shame-bringing", and threw the "burden" of COVID-19 to China. However, the facts are justified. After the outbreak of COVID-19, China has always adhered to the principle of “people first and life first”, adopted decisive measures resolutely, and did its utmost to treat patients of all ethnic groups with the greatest possible protection. Besides, our work team supported nearly 10,000 yuan in the procurement of masks, lotus Qingwen capsules, eggs and other materials. The whole village participated in the front line of epidemic prevention, and implemented masks-wearing, body temperature measurement, environmental disinfection, home isolation, and nucleic acid testing.

As a Uygur cadre member of the CPC in Xinjiang, China, I deeply understand that only social stability can continuously accelerate the development of economy and society, and can enable people of all ethnic groups to share the achievements of reform. Pompeo is not qualified to make indiscreet remarks on us, and his attacks will never stop the development and the unity of all ethnic groups in China; it will never stop the sonorous pace of the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang towards a better future!
