Gulinar Shaliman, Political Commissar of the Security and Order Detachment of the Public Security Bureau of Kizilsu Kirghiz Autonomous Prefecture
Pompeo and Adrian Zenz, have lied many times about Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It’s ridiculous and totally wrong for them to say our autonomous region commits "genocide" and "crimes against humanity" on Uygur Muslims and other ethnic groups.
I was born in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, growing up and working here. As a native, I witness people here getting the increasing sense of gain, happiness and security.
My father was admitted to Xinjiang mining secondary vocational school in the early 1960s, before he joined the army to guard the frontier as a soldier after graduation. My mother taught in border areas. I had been playing in the yard with friends of different ethnic groups since I was a child. We had meals at each others’ home when we were hungry because we had a very harmonious "big family". My father has been telling us his bitter childhood to help us be aware that we should be grateful and repay the kindness to our great Communist Party of China because she gives us today's good life. My generation grew up healthily with free education, free medical care and other benefits from the Communist Party of China. My three sisters and I had been admitted to universities and joined the glorious Communist Party of China. Now we become civil servants and our families are perfectly happy. We never forget the benefits from our motherland. My two sons have benefited from the policy of education benefiting the local people. My elder son was admitted by the "neichu class" (junior middle school, a policy to support education in Xinjiang), and the "neigao class" (senior middle school, a policy to support education in Xinjiang). When he was at school, all tuition fees, together with expense regarding living, transportation, medical care and other items was covered. After graduating from China University of Petroleum, Beijing, he chose to stay and work in Beijing. The younger one was admitted to Donghua University last year.
Since I have been working for 27 years, I have been to many provinces and cities to participate in various kinds of training programs with the care of organization, which broadened my horizon. Cadres of different ethnic groups have been in a harmonious relationship. We help each other, learn from each other and make progress together. My personal growth experience is a vivid example of countless Uygur compatriots who are living a happy life under the care of our motherland.
The words what Pompeo and Adrian Zenz said like "setting up concentration camps" and "crimes against humanity" in Xinjiang are making an unfounded attack upon China. Issues relating to Xinjiang are not ethnic, religious or human rights issues. In essence, they are related to fight against terrorists, extremists and separatists.
One of my friends I came to know was coerced and used by lawbreakers because of his ignorance and low literal level. He was influenced by extremist religious ideas, and committed minor criminal acts. With the guidance of the government, he signed up for vocational education and training, got rid of extremist ideological constraints and mastered working skills by learning standard national language and legal knowledge. After the training was finished, he opened a restaurant; it was very popular which had brought him a happy life for the whole family.
Where light advances, darkness retreats. Lies will be exposed and time will tell the truth. Every conspiracy to undermine the unity of the Chinese nation or prevent the development of China will eventually become a laughing stock. All ethnic groups should embrace each other as if we were seeds of a pomegranate to protect our beautiful homeland hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder and heart to heart!
