Pompeo and Adrian Zenz disregarded and distorted facts of Xinjiang's prosperity and development and the happy lives of the people of all ethnic groups, and frantically discredited and attacked Xinjiang, impressing the world their ugly faces. As one of the officials and masses of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, I have participated in, experienced and witnessed Xinjiang’s stable development, and I strongly oppose and resolutely condemn Pompeo and Adrian Zenz’s shameless lies and despicable actions.

As a Uygur as well as a Party official, I have lived and worked in Xinjiang for 43 years. Together with people of all ethnic groups, I have personally experienced the development and changes in Xinjiang, and have enjoyed the warmth and happiness as a member of the great family of the Chinese nation.

The utmost happiness for being parents is to raise children well and cultivate them into qualified law-abiding citizens who could support their own family by mastering practical skills. My parents are farmers. Benefiting from the Party’s preferential education policies, the four children have all received higher education. And fortunately I am selected to study for a PhD for free. We are all having ideal jobs and enjoying a happy life. At present, there are 17 people in my big family, with 7 children of the third generation. The oldest among them is about to graduate from a university, and the youngest is receiving pre-school education for free, thanks to the Party’s preferential policies. In recent years, the population of ethnic minorities including the Uygurs has been increasing. The growth rate of the Uygur population is higher than that of Xinjiang's total population and that of other ethnic minority groups, and much higher than that of the Han population. Pompeo and Adrian, before the fact of rapid Uygur population growth, do you still claim it "genocide"?

The utmost happiness for being children is to serve the motherland in their own working positions, and to show their filial respect when parents get old. The average monthly salary for we brothers and sisters is about 5,000 yuan, and the monthly pension for my parents reaches about 6,000 yuan. With the parents’ health care and the children’s education guaranteed, we are living a happy life now. My parents, both over 70 years old, had a by-pass surgery in 2012, which cost more than 80,000 yuan. The basic resident medical insurance covered most of the expenditure, and we had to spend only 10,000 yuan. Pompeo and Adrian, do you still claim it "genocide"?

The utmost happiness for being citizens is to live a happy life in a safe and stable environment, with a stable job and reliable income. A number of industrial parks have been established in the counties and cities of Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, recruiting industrial workers from the prefecture, from Xinjiang, and from the country. Besides, many village-run enterprises and township-run enterprises have been established in accordance with the wishes of low-income groups to find local employment and raise their income. These enterprises base their recruitment on the Labor Law of the People’s Republic of China and on the principle of equality and voluntariness. The workers of all ethnic groups choose their own jobs, sign labor contracts with enterprises in accordance with the law, and earn their due income. The rights of workers are effectively safeguarded in accordance with the law. Take a poor family, the relatives I pair up with, as an example. This is a family of 7 people, with 1.5 hectares of farmland mainly for cotton planting in the past. The net income of the whole family was only about 10,000 yuan per year. Benefiting from poverty alleviation projects, the man of the house obtained a driver’s license for large trucks. His new job earns him a monthly income of about 7,000 yuan. They later move into a new house. The per-capita net income of the family has increased greatly, and the whole family has thus been lifted out of poverty. Pompeo and Adrian Zenz, is it "forced labor"?

At present, Xinjiang people have a much stronger sense of fulfillment, happiness and security. The overall situation in Xinjiang is stable, and people’s hope for peace and stability has been realized. We don’t have to worry about wallets being stolen, about children being abducted or about violent incidents or epidemic infection. Through vocational skills training and study, those who had fallen into a wrong path have mastered practical skills and have become law-abiding citizens. I can tell the world that Xinjiang is the safest place.

Facts speak louder than words. Our happy life proves that Pompeo and Adrian Zenz’s indecent remarks are egregious lies. Hard as they try, they cannot stop the wheels of the justice. The enemies of mankind such as Pompeo and Adrian Zenz are doomed to be discarded in the dustbin of history.
